We have extensive experience in the containment and biological treatment of odours from food manufacturing and farming environments, designing anaerobic digestion systems to reduce odour emissions to levels acceptable by DEFRA.
We also specialise in the fabrication of platforms, staircases, hand railing and guarding, ductwork, dust extraction, anaerobic digestion, fume extraction and ventilation just to name a few.

Welcome to AMD Engineering & Design Ltd. specialists in the design, manufacture & installation of Ductwork, Sheet metal and Fabrication Work.
Our ductwork engineers have experience in all types of ductwork systems, fume removal, dust extraction, wood waste extraction and ventilation, all of which are designed to meet customer specs.
Ductwork / Sheet Metal Work
AMD can perform Light, Medium and Heavy sheet metal work and ductwork fabrications.
Fabrication
AMD offers light, medium and heavy duty fabrications, manufactured from various steels (e.g. mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel etc) and steel sections (RSA, RSC/PFC, RHS, flats, tubes and beams). This includes the welding of all the above which can be done through our MIG, TIG & STICK welding facilities.
Installation / Decommission
AMD offers site installation both locally and nationally to all products used and manufactured from our workshops. In addition to this we offer a professional and reliable decommissioning service.
All engineers are fully skilled to carry out site installations. The contracts carried out are supplied with risk assessments and method statements. Each engineer holds current certificates and licenses for the use of fork lift trucks, scissor lifts, boom lifts, portable aluminium scaffold, Health & Safety passport including food & drink and appointed first aid etc.
Installation vehicles carry full plant and equipment (i.e. steps, extension ladders, portable aluminium scaffold, lifting equipment and all required mechanical and hand operated tools).
Installations can vary from small scale ventilation / dust extraction systems, to a major turn-key installation under CDM regulations.
Design
AMD have their own design engineers allowing projects to be designed and drawn from conception at the first site meeting with the customer to the final completion and job installation.
Paint Finishing
AMD has its own internal spray and paint finishing facilities. The dimensions of our spray booth are length 10m width 5m height 5m which allows all manufactured items from the sheet metal and fabrication departments to be finished in various paints and colours to suit customer requirements (i.e. high build primers, enamel, gloss and Hammerite paints).
