Aqua-Dynamics Ltd specialising in Waterjet Cutting began in 1997 by Brian Hatch after a lifetimes work in the Aerospace Industry to provide a service to Business and individuals alike who were looking for an alternative to Laser and more conventional methods as well as a one stop shop for cutting and profiling all types of materials. Of all the different materials used in manufacturing today from the most Exotic Alloys and Composites to the oldest Marble and Granites there is truly only one cutting process that would cope with them all and that is the Abrasive Water Jet.

Directed largely at the Sub Contract market Aqua-Dynamics has quickly established Key Account Customers from Aerospace to Stonemasons with as much diversity in between as possible to create a broad based operation capable of rapid turn-around and Quality of Service. Not content with flat sheet materials the Water Jet machines’ capability will stretch into 3D profiling with programmable terrain following software as well as a tilting head mechanism that allows for both angular correction in thicker materials as well as programmable taper generation on the parts. In addition a Horizontal Rotating Theta Axis has been added to provide fully programmable multi axis machining in 4 dimensions simultaneously.

Typical work area of the Water Jet machine is 1.2M x 2.4M with a Z axis travel of 180mm, although larger sheets of material can be accommodated in the tank up to 3.0M x 1.5M. and three dimensional components up to 2.0M x 500mm dia
