Here at Artec Engineering, we have experience in all types of welding and fabrication, such as stud welding, spot welding, Braze (silver solder), turning, metal polishing and spinning. We provide metal polishing on ferous and non ferous metals, such as aluminium and brass.

We provide specialist metal fabrication services using an extensive range of traditional and modern techniques. Our highly experienced staff have a wealth of experience in sheet metal fabrication and are dedicated to providing complete satisfaction.

Our capacities include:

• Metal spinning – Manual / CNC / PLB capacity:
  • Up to 1.5 mtr dia x 6.0mm st st
  • Up to 2.1 mtr dia x 2.0mm m/st
  • 3.0 mtr dia to follow shortly
• Guiloteen: 2 x 1 x 6mm st st
• Circle shear: 1.6 mtr. Dia x 5.0mm st st
• Rolling: 10mm thk x 2.5 mtr length. Increased thickness over shorter lengths
• Metal Polishing
• Welding: TIG / MIG /ARC – coded to ASME IX
• Spot welding
• Turning: Manual up to 700 mm diameter
• Brake press

We specialise in sheet metal forming and cover an assortment of processes resulting in spun metal components. We offer traditional and conventional metal forming to create a part from an original blank, to roughly the same dimensions as the blank.

We offer a modern approach to metal spinning called flow forming / shear forming. When using shear forming, variation in wall thickness is achieved and enables you to achieve complex shapes typically required in the aerospace, automotive, nuclear, chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Since 1964, we have been using a problem solving approach to new and challenging projects, using our experience and professional certification. We work with our customers to develop a spun metal and fabrication process to suit individual requirements. 

We will take on specialist one off projects, and offer spun metal processes for many industries from diverse areas as aircraft/aerospace, lighting, nuclear power stations, food process plants, pharmaceutical, gas and oil and agricultural around the world. 

We manufacture specialist custom steel float valves from an assortment of materials including stainless steels, copper, brass, Alloy and inconell / hastalloy. We produce steel float valves in any size, weight and design you specify.
