Halifax Fan is regarded as one of the principal manufacturers of industrial centrifugal fans. We design and manufacture a complete range of fans from simple ID/FD fans to fans for the most demanding applications and aggressive environments.

Halifax fan also manufacture self-cleaning, backward inclined, backward curved, radial, forward curved, paddle bladed and high pressure blowers.

Our metal fans amd casing are welded constructions and braced for optimum rigidity. Casings up to size 39 are manufactured in one piece and, after taking off the front plate, the impellers removed from the inlet side. Standard sizes 42 and larger are constructed of two pieces with sections flanged, drilled and bolted together. Above size 60 all casings are made in three parts with a divided top section.

Impellars on metal fans are accurately balanced in compliance with BS 6861:Part1:1987 and ISO 1940/1:1986. These precision built components are usually made up of 12 blades welded between a substantial back plate and conical shroud.

The back plate of precision lasered with blade slots to ensure ultimate accuracy in the angle and position of blades. Impellers are installed with a cast-iron centre boss and are precision bored with a British standard keyway to suit.

Our plastic fans are developed from proven designs and manufactured for the most part in polypropylene. Our plastic fans offer a realistic alternative to more expensive stainless steels and nickel alloys when handling corrosive gases.

Our range of high quality fans are manufactured to ATEX 94/9/EC and BS EN 14986:2007. This is the directive on equipment and protective systems intended for use in explosive environments. 

Often referred to as the ATEX Directive, in 1996 it became British law and manufacturers had an option in complying with the regulations from 23 March 1994 up until final transition period end date of 1 July 2003.

The directive is now EU law and any equipment, electrical or mechanical for installation within the EU member states must now comply.
