The latest addition to the Vipa product portfolio is the GGM range of compact AC Geared Motors. Manufactured to the highest quality standards, this range offers high reliability and long life. These AC Geared Motors are characterised by their compact design, high efficiency and low noise, making them ideal for a wide variety of applications and industries. The motors are offered in powers from 6W up to 200W, with supply voltages of 1ph/230V, 3ph/230V, 3ph/400V and 1ph/115V. The range includes Standard Induction motors and also Quick Reversible motors, which are ideal for Stop/Start, Forward/Reverse applications. Other variants include brake motors, variable speed motors and straight shafted motors which are available upon request.

A comprehensive range of high efficiency helical spur gearboxes are available in ratios from 3:1 up to 200:1. With the addition of the 10:1 intermediate gearboxes, a limitless range of ratios are available. These gearboxes are lubricated for life, therefore do not require any maintenance.

The recently developed SLIO remote I/O range sets new standards in the automation industry.  Due to its modular construction and extremely compact design, SLIO can be used in almost every automation application.  SLIO can be combined with any of the existing VIPA Step 7 PLCs or with third party PLCs.  SLIO is one of the most effective and modern decentralised I/O systems available on the market.   It combines high functionality with a clever mechanic concept in an extremely compact design.

The VIPA system 100V is a Micro-PLC system programmable with Step 7 from Siemens or Vipa's programming tool WinPLC7 (which is supplied free of charge with all 100V PLCs).  Offering a compact design, the 100V ranges provides a maximum expansion of up to 160x I/O points by plugging in expansion modules. These Vipa Step 7 Micro-PLCs are especially suitable for use in smaller and cost-conscious applications.

The Vipa 200V Step 7 PLC range is a highly compact and modular control system for centralised and decentralised applications. The CPU model can be optimised according to the application requirements, based upon the performance and work memory.  The CPU can be extended with I/O and function modules, as well as communication processors.

The 200V Step 7 PLC range are designed for small and medium-sized applications.



 

Due to Vipa's unique SPEED7 Technology, the 300S high speed Step 7 PLC range is the fastest control system in the world programmable with Step 7 from Siemens. The maximum memory for program and data has already been integrated into the SPEED7 CPUs. For this reason the CPUs can be operated without the need of an additional memory card.  Depending upon the CPU type, the integrated work memory can be expanded upto 8MByte using VIPA's Memory extansion cards, if required.  All CPUs in the System 300S are equipped with an Ethernet Interface for PG/OP communication. A CP 343 interface for TCP/IP communication has been integrated in the "NET" CPUs.  Because of its high performance and scalable memory, the Vipa 300S Step 7 PLC range is especially suitable for mid to high range applications.

Due to Vipa's unique Speed7 Technology, the 500S Slot PLC range is the fastest control system in the world, programmable with Step 7 from Siemens. The Vipa 500S range has been designed for operation in a PC slot with PCI interface.  An OPC server for communication between CPU and PC is included. Peripherals are connected through the integrated Profibus-DP-Master interface.  The CPUs are equipped with an Ethernet interface for PG/OP communication. The CPU 517S/NET has an additional CP343 for TCP/IP communication.  Due to their high performance (Speed7 Technology) and their scaleable memory, the Vipa 500S Step 7 PLC range is suitable for complex control tasks.

WinPLC7 is a programming tool for use with all Vipa PLCs ranges, from 100V to 500S, all of which are programmable with Step 7. Programming and configuration of S7-300 from Siemens can also be done using WinPLC7.  PLC programmes can be developed in STL, FBD and LAD.  Diagnostic functions are also possible.  With the integrated software PLC the programmes can be tested in advance.  All Vipa components are implemented into the hardware configurator of WinPLC7.  In order to simplify configuration of Vipa items, the hardware confi gurator has been especially optimised for Vipa systems.  Configuration of S7-300 from Siemens is possible, too.

Vipa's range of versatile Text Displays are ideally suited for small and low cost applications.  The compact TD03 Text Display shows message texts usign a bright backlit LCD display.  Inputs, outputs and process parameters can be entered using the membrane keys.  The configuration of the messages and the parameter blocks is performed using the free of charge TD-Wizard from Vipa.  The Vipa operator Panel OP 03 is particularly suitable for operating and monitoring of small applications in conjunction with Vipa Step 7 PLCs 11x, 21x, 31x, 51x and also Siemens S7-300/400 PLCs.  Project creation is performed using the Vipa's OP-Manager or Siemens ProTool.  The Vipa Commander Compact CC 03 is a Step 7 PLC and Text display combined.  It is programmable using Step 7 from Siemens or WINPLC from Vipa.   In addition, 16 digital inputs and outputs are integrated, and can be expended with up to four system 100V or system 200V modules.

The Vipa Industrial Touch Screen family is suited to a wide variety of applications including factory automation, process machinery and building automation.  Due to the aluminum die-cast housing the Vipa Industrial Touch Screens are extremely mechanically robust, and due tho their IP65 protection rating (from the front), these Industrial Touch Screens can withstand operation in harsh industrial environments.  The Vipa Industrial Touch Screens range from 5.7" QVGA monochrome up to 12.1" SVGA TFT colour displays.  Their compact design allows use of the Vipa Industrial Touch Screens in confined spaces. These Industrial Touch screens can be operated either horizontally or vertically.  They support scada programing using either Movicon Real time or Zenon.   They are supplied pre-installed with the oppropriate run-time licences.  These CE devices can be purchased with either Windows CE 5.0 core or Embedded CE 6.0.

 

Vipa's range of Remote Diagnostic Teleservice Modules offer remote connectivity to industrial Serial and Ethernet devices for fault diagnostics, monitoring, data logging and error alerting. Connectivity to these Remote Diagnostic Teleservice modules is achieved either using analogue PSTN phone-lines, ISDN, GSM/GPRS, 3G and secure VPN Broadband Internet connections.  Vipa's Remote Diagnostic Teleservice Modules are ideal for both machine manufacturers and end-users, who wish to monitor device status, perform remote maintenance, measure efficiency, conduct data logging and save money by avoiding unnecessary service visits.  Other features include tag monitoring, which can prompt generation of an email or SMS text alert.  This product can also act as an Internet gateway to other equipment connected to this module.  A direct Internet TCP/IP link can be made to any remote network which is ideal for fault diagnostics and error reporting/resetting. The VPN functionality ensure high levels of security to the end-users network.  Configuration of Vipa’s Remote Diagnostic Teleservice Modules is performed using an web-server application, which also allows Basic scripting to be created giving high levels of product versatility.
 

Vipa’s unique range of EasyConn Profibus connectors are the perfect compliment to all profibus networks.  The integrated diagnostic LEDs ensure that installation is quick and trouble free.  Users can immediately check the status of bus activity, termination resistors, power supply and bus status. The integrated controller supports transmission rates of up to 12MBit/s.  Due to the robust metal construction, these connectors are particularly immune to noise and vibration.  The integrated termination resistor switch allows sections of the network to be isolated and the cause of any issues easily pin-pointed.  The “fast connect” piercing technology allows quick and easy installation.

Vipa’s range of IM 306 DP-Slave modules allow simple conversion from obsolete Step 5 systems to the up to date Step 7 platform.  These conversion cards can be used with 115U, 135U and 155U racks.  The central processor is removed from the existing rack and is replaced by an IM306 DP-Slave Module.  This then allows connection to a Step 7 PLC master controller via Profibus-DP.  Project engineering can then be carried out in the Profibus-DP-Master PLC, without the need for altering any of the Step 5 I/O modules or cabling.  The user can quickly revert back to the Step 5 processor by simply replacing it back into the rack, ensuring no risk of down time.

Vipa's profibus cable offers both high quality and economic price.  Available in reel lenghts of 100m, 200m, 500m and 100m, or alternatively can be purchased in increments of one metre.  Vipa's profibus cable complies to EN50170 and is falme retardant according to VDE standard 0472, T804 test type B.  This cable is supplied with single inner core, with overall braiding screen for noise immunity.
