Fan Servicing
Woodcock and Wilson manufacture both centrifugal fan and axial fan designs and they have the knowledge and expertise to carry out fan servicing on any brand of fan and blower.
They have a team of dedicated onsite maintenance and servicing personnel who can inspect, service and repair any make of industrial fan. All of their engineers are highly qualified and have a complete understanding on fan design and manufacture. This understanding allows them to quickly diagnose faults and carry out the necessary repairs.
Carrying out regular fan servicing ensures your fan is reliable and working to its full potential.
Centrifugal Fans
Woodcock and Wilson manufacture a comprehensive range of centrifugal fans. Their range includes high efficiency, low noise, and clean air fans. All of the components and materials used within their centrifugal fans are of the highest quality.
Their range of centrifugal fan designs includes: backward bladed, backward laminar, backward curved, backward aerofoil, flat backward, forward curved, radial paddle blade and radial blade high pressure blowers.
Their centrifugal fans can be of bespoke design to meet customer needs and individual specifications.
BL Range - Backward Curved
Their BL range of backward curved centrifugal fans is typically the most efficient and cost effective industrial fans for both clean air and light dust loads.
Woodcock & Wilson's BL range of backward curved centrifugal fans are suitable for most air or gas applications. Their BL fans incorporate a special aerodynamic casing design. This ensures high efficiency.
Their BL range of backward curved centrifugal fans is available in a wide range of widths and sizes.
High Pressure Blowers
Their high pressure blowers are a centrifugal blower with a narrow width and fully shrouded radial bladed impeller. Their high pressure blowers are suitable for clean air applications
Their high pressure blowers are typically used in the combustion and forced ventilation industries. High pressure is required at a low volume within these industries and their high pressure blowers can meet this need.
Axial Fans
Woodcock & Wilson manufacture a wide range of axial fans. Woodcock & Wilson manufacture a standard range of axial fans and bespoke designs to meet individual specification.
Their standard range of axial fans includes:
- Direct driven axial fans
- Belt driven axial fans
- Bifurcated fans
ATEX compliance for use in hazardous areas is available on their axial fans. Their axial fans are available with special shaft seals, integral diagnostic and monitoring equipment, special coatings, dampers and inlet vane controls.
Belt Driven Axial Fans
Belt driven axial fans are suitable for large quantities of air at low pressure. They produce little noise and require little space.
They are a lower price than centrifugal fans and have shorter ducts which reduce cost. The impeller has adjustable blades which allow the fan to be adapted for different requirements.
The motor is easily accessible making maintenance a much quicker and simpler process. Belt driven axial fans are typically used where it is important for the motor to be kept out of the airstreams because of the temperature or type of gases involved.
Bifurcated Fans
Bifurcated fans are a type of direct driven axial fan. The motor is encased in a metal box to isolate it from the airflow, making them perfect for situations involving the exhausting or the recirculation of fumes, gases and hot air.
Woodcock & Wilson manufacture two types of bifurcated fan; the spun bifurcated and the fabricated bifurcated. Their bifurcated fans are manufactured differently but this does not affect their design or performance. The different manufacturing processes determine the material the fan is made from and the size.
Atex
Woodcock & Wilson manufacture fans that are fully compliant with the Atex directive 94/9/EC for use in hazardous areas. This ensures their customers have a safe working environment.
Atex came into effect 1st July 2003 and all new installations must conform to this regulation. All existing installations need to be analysed and risk assessed by the Atex code.
Atex defines hazardous areas on the frequency and duration of an explosive atmosphere. It is imperative Atex approved equipment is used in such an area to prevent and avoid explosions.
