Data Cables UL/CSA Approved

With UL/CSA approval Belcom's Multicore and Multipair Data Cables ensure quality at a sensible price.

With the threat of counterfeit products undermining all markets including cable manufacture it is becoming harder for the end user to verify that they are getting what the are paying for, the great advantage of documented Third party approval from UL and CSA is that, the verification process is underwritten by these authorities who do the "policing" for the end user.Belcom carries extensive stocks of UL/CSA approved Data Cables manufactured in North America and Europe by independently verified cable factories to ensure only quality assured cable is supplied.

DataGuard Armoured Cables

Data transmission around the production area is now common place and with the onset of IP addressable devices the need for increased performance data transmission cables is growing.

In many instances the most suitable cable in terms of electrical performance and available pair counts already exists in the standard form. The big problem is that these cables cannot be installed without further protection in the form of conduit or ducting.
DataGuard™ armoured data transmission cables overcome this problem and are suitable for installation where mechanical protection is preferred, they are ideally suited to industrial applications and direct burial in trenches or through ducting. DataGuard™ is the registered trademark of Belcom Cables Ltd.

EventSeries Audio & Broadcast Cables

Event Series Audio & Broadcast Cables for the professional user with no compromise on performance or durability.

Belcom's range of Audio & Broadcast Cables have been developed over two decades using "state of the art" materials and expertise.

By working in partnership with professionals in the industry and matching the technical expertise of our manufacturing partners we have developed a tried and tested range of cables that we know lasts up to the rigours of on tour use.

Coupled with our range of installation cables we have stock to meet most industry applications, with a continuing commitment to provide innovation and adaptation of cables to meet new requirements.

Fieldbus Cables

To further the coordinated development of each of the fieldbus systems there are respective independent organisations that act as approvals authorities..

They ensure that individual component suppliers work in an open interoperable environment allowing free sourcing of individual components to build automated manufacturing Systems. They also ensure that the quality and performance of these components including cable will comply with the requirements of the system overall. As advances in one area occur they are uniformly implemented across the rest of the system components amongst the association members. This philosophy in itself ensures the reliability and future proofing of the industrial network and qualifies that each individual suppliers component work smoothly within the network. Belcom is pleased to be associated with a number of these organisations both directly as members of AS-interface expert alliance, Profibus international together with Leoni Special Cables who are also members of Open Devicenet Vendoes association (ODVA), CC-Link Partnership Association (CLPA), Industrial Automation Open Networking Alliance (IONA) and Interbus, developing the FieldLink range of FieldBus cables to meet the latest performance requirements of each network for the widest range of operating environments to suit any industry.

SureLAN Cables

LAN (Local Area Network) cables based on the Ethernet protocol have been around since the late 70's and have developed to support advances in data transfer rates, these are typically 100 Base-T (100 megabits per second Mbps) in most existing commercial.

Local Area Networks and more recently Gigabit (1000 Mbps) also referred to as "Fast Ethernet" versions are now being implemented, the restricting factor in all networks will always be the data transfer speed of the lowest performing component in the network, be it in the cable, the switch, the server, the standard of the installation or the network card at the workstation.

In general the rule of thumb is to install the best performing cable in new installations and copy the existing cable installed on modifications and extensions to existing installations. Belcom offers a range of LAN cables covering standard installation environments as well as strengthened and enhanced physical performance variants.

SureLight Fibre Optic Cables

Fibre Optic Cables for communication systems are defined by fibre type and installation environment which ultimately determines the finished cable construction.

The advantages of fibre cable over copper are:• Lighter weight • Free from electromagnetic interference • Greater data transmission rates over longer distances
The down side is that termination is not as easy as copper and therefore tends to be more costly, they are however widely accepted as the ideal trunk (or riser) cable between copper based Local Area Networks (LANs) to form Wide Area Networks (WANs). A typical example of this would be the copper LAN cable forming the network wiring on an office floor linked to the communications room by a fibre optic cable and similarly back from the communications room to other office levels forming the wider area network. Other ideal applications are across large factory process plants and campus style developments (e.g. universities, research establishments. There are 3 main Fibre types: Multimode 50/125 Gives the lowest attenuation (lower losses) out of the two multimode types and is available from OM2 to OM3 performance levels Multimode 62.5/125 Available in OM1 and OM1+ performance levels Single Mode 9/125 For longer distance installations. Belcom offer all of the above types in Steel Wire Armoured and unarmoured internal/external versions in 4 core, 8 core, 12 core and 24 core versions. Special construction styles are handled on request.

Coaxial Cables

The principle of the Coaxial Cable is based on the high frequency signal being transmitted along the electromagnetic field existing between the inner conductor and the outer shield which share a common axis (hence co-axial).

The dielectric on insulation, the physical size of the conductor and the type and construction of the shield all play a part in determining the electrical performance of the finished Coax cable.

The main standards influencing commonly used coax are the military standard MIL-C-17F or RG Type cables and the Uniradio metric styles on URM types in this section you will find the TV Relay, Satellite TV Coax Cables together with RG and URM Types.

FlexLine®

FlexLine® cables and high quality connector components meet all the requirements of standards and performance characteristics for 3G Network Connectivity.

FlexLine® cables and components have been designed and manufactured to exacting standards giving excellent performance characteristics for a wide range of RF applications.

These cables are installed extensively as links between base station and antenna in 3G mobile communication networks.

Industrial Automation Cables

Vast improvements in modern motor design have allowed the decentralisation of drive systems in all areas of production processes.

This allows smaller motors at each stage of the process, each interlinked through the process FieldBus network.

The ability to control these motors precisely to work in conjunction with each other is facilitated through high performance servo motor cables and encoder cables allowing precision control of speed and in some cases motor temperature of diagnostic information.

Belcom's Servo motor and encoder cables are manufactured to the highest standards. They are UL/CSA and Desina approved. These cables are installed in some of the most demanding industrial environments, including chain and high flex operations, with continuing long service.

Ribbon Cables

Ribbon cable is available in 2.54mm, 1.27mm and 0.635mm pitches.

Colour coded grey with polarising stripe are available from stock on next day delivery.

Designed specifically for mass termination with insulation displacement connectors. Ribbon cables are a popular and time saving solution to multiple internal wiring of electronic equipment, used on applications ranging from high end computer equipment for business and Manufacturing control to gaming machines and high tech Bingo suites.

Precision pitch control during manufacture ensures a clean connection every time, UL & CSA approved and available in 100 foot reels for ease of use. Bulk reels available for OEM and automated cable preparation on request.

DEF-STAN Cables

Def-Stan 61-12 Pt 4 & 5 cables were originally designed to meet military specification across a wide range of electrical applications within fighting vehicles and associated equipment.

They soon became a widely accepted standard for use in communicational electronic systems and today are still widely used as standard electronic interconnection cable.

They are available in two conductor sizes, 0.25mmsq (7/0.20mm) and 0.50mmsq (16/0.20mm) in screened and un-screened form.

Industrial Power & Communication Cables

Multi-conductor Power & Communication Cables and Glands conforming to recognized harmonized standards.

Cable construction is characterized by its unlimited application and for industrial environments a rugged construction with resistance to unfavourable environments typifies the general construction of these cables.
