Data networks
Modern day businesses and organisations need constant access to communication and a whole host of resources to ensure they stay ahead of their competitors by getting the most out of more streamlined and cost-effective working practices.
Wired and wireless data networks ensure you and your colleagues can communicate efficiently and easily via email, instant messaging, telephone and video conferencing. They also ensure you are able to share hardware and software resources as well as data storage devices.
Our highly experienced and industry-accredited engineering team based in Exeter, Devon, designs, installs and maintains a range of fixed and wireless data networks, often utilising our leading-edge data centre as the dynamic hub to converge differing network technologies, to range of customers throughout the South West region, including Plymouth, Cornwall and Bristol, and branching out as far as Portsmouth, Reading and South Wales.
Working with best-of-breed partners we design secure, robust, reliable, proven and flexible networks for a range of organisational structures covering single and multiple sites and incorporating individuals and teams that work off site.
We are specialists in both fixed and wireless local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) and virtual private networks (VPNs). We also utilise point to point microwave connectivity as a cost-effective alternative to leased lines or wide-ranging WiMAX as the perfect solution for campus LANs or external WiFi zones. Furthermore, we can help boost your customer service or revenue generating capabilities by deploying WiFi hotspots.
We have been awarded Cisco Premier Certified status to illustrate our pursuit of excellence in the voice and data networking industry. This certification recognises and rewards business partners that have proved they have the technical competency and knowledge of routing and switching, wireless LANs (WLANs) and security technologies.
Data Centre
Our industry-leading data centre is located in Exeter, Devon. It is built to leading-edge standards to provide the best in class for security, environment, power, fire prevention and network connectivity and is maintained by a certified networking and security team with years of experience managing and monitoring enterprise-level networks. It offers a highly resilient Cisco infrastructure with no single point of failure.
All these elements combine enabling us to provide scalable, high availability, flexible data centre services for all your server hosting, disaster recovery and data backup requirements, as well as providing Internet services and a hub for a number of wide area networks (WANs).
Our data centre is directly connected to 6 different network operators with diversely routed resilient circuits to avoid any possibility of downtime. Resilient power is provided to every individual cabinet and the cabinets are spread across all three electrical phases. Servers are also spread across different cabinets to gain additional power resilience. An N + 2 UPS system (4 x UPSs) supports all of the data centre’s equipment for resilience and this is backed up by a regularly tested standby power generator.
The data centre is equipped with a VESDA fire protection system which samples the atmosphere in each rack and monitors for carbon particles which are given off when components heat up towards combustion. If the system detects sufficient particles, the electrical power to that particular rack is switched off, removing the energy source and ensuring that combustion does not take place.
Privacy and security is assured with card swipe entry systems to all restricted areas and CCTV surveillance is continuously operating both inside and outside of the data centre. Public access is strictly forbidden and there are 4 separate secure areas, which need to be accessed before reaching the data centre cabinet room.
Our data centre currently accommodates 120 cabinets with the capacity to quadruple the amount of cabinets as demand continues to grow.
Contact centres
Building mutually satisfying long-term relationships with customers has never been more important for organisations in both the private and public sectors. One of our contact centre solutions can help you achieve exactly that and potentially increase your profit at the same time.
You can only deliver outstanding service by answering calls promptly, responding to enquiries swiftly, accurately and appropriately by knowledgeable, enthusiastic and professional employees. To facilitate this, your front-line staff need to have real-time access to a whole raft of information about your customers’ including the services you provide them and previous contact history in order for you to keep calls to a minimum length.
Our expertise in contact centre, automatic call distribution (ACD), interactive voice response (IVR) and computer telephony integration (CTI) solutions means that we can combine the most appropriate technologies to suit your specific inbound call needs and that will integrate with your existing technology, people and processes.
Call centres should be at the heart of good customer service. Organisations should be able to maximise their investment by using call centre data to predict customer behaviour and identify new business opportunities. If you are willing to make an investment to improve your customer service, you should be able to capitalise on increases in revenue and profit, market share, and customer retention.
Furthermore, call recording software can be built into any call centre solution to comply with quality control or liability purposes, as well as being used a real-life training aid.
Mobility
For many people, “going to work” used to mean sitting behind a desk for the day, with a desktop computer and a telephone handset. Businesses are changing and the workplace now needs to be anywhere: home, the car, a customer site, hotel room, a temporary portable cabin or another country. Wherever your staff need to work, it is crucial for them to be able to access all the communications services that they need to do every part of their job.
You can now be accessible and work anywhere within your own business premises, using digital cordless phones or WiFi handsets on a secure, integrated wireless network.
Irrespective of their function, anyone needing to work away from the office, whether they are a home worker or travel around, can have a single number and use simple, intuitive technology to direct their phone calls and messaging to wherever they need to be. Using a range of technology from their laptop, mobile phone, or even just a web browser and a standard home phone, allows them to “see” their colleagues, their availability and provide interaction with them.
We supply a vast range of best of breed mobility solutions, from mobile phones, IP and soft phones, presence and teleworking, private networking and VPN, and scalable on-site cordless and multi-site WiFi networking solutions. Designed to meet all your needs, they provide you with the ability to communicate seamlessly with customers, business partners and colleagues from wherever you are, giving full access to voice, email and fax messages, corporate directories and back office applications as quickly and efficiently as if you were working in head office.
Mobility solutions will help distribute your workforce, allow customer service and contact centre agents to work from home, keep your field sales force and consultants integrated with your office staff, keep your travel and operating costs to a minimum and even provide you with disaster recovery options.
Unified communications
Unified communications provides businesses and organisations with the opportunity to use converged IT and communications technology to enable collaboration from anywhere in the world. The same technology can be used to create new revenue streams and improve customer satisfaction by connecting people to the right resources and information, securely and cost-effectively.
The way we now work requires you and your colleagues to manage multiple devices, applications and face-to-face interactions in an attempt to stay in contact with one another at all hours of the day, from wherever you are working at the time.
Unified communications is designed to help you manage this more flexible way of working and can revolutionise the way you run your business. Users can access and respond to any message (voicemail, text or email), respond to real-time communication (eg telephone call, instant message or video conference) and utilise user presence from a single interface.
The benefits of using unified communications start with improved customer satisfaction as you will never need to miss a call, email or fax, no matter where you are and messages will be presented in a single inbox to reduce message management time by at least 50%.
Increased productivity and lower management costs mean a rapid return on investment so it is no wonder that more and more businesses are investing in unified communications.
Cost contol
Every business is keen to save money and control costs. We can provide a range of business telephony solutions that will achieve just this while offering an improved service to your customers too.
The first step is to give control back to our customers by providing them with a user-friendly, efficient system management software platform to eradicate the need to call out engineering resource to make day to day system programming changes. This will reduce ongoing revenue costs and provide a more responsive facility to meet the day to day changing needs of your business.
Additional software can also be provided for call logging purposes to provide reports for call traffic analysis and management. Reports can be produced on inbound and outbound call traffic in order that calls can be allocated to extension users and departments for detailed analysis and cost allocation. Operator and extension response times can also be monitored, detailing call answer times, lost calls, etc ensuring that calls are being answered and processed quickly and efficiently and that calls are not being lost at peak times.
Account codes allow you to attribute outgoing call costs to particular customers by simply inputting an account code at anytime throughout the call. Account codes can also be used for tracking the success of a sales campaign or other activity generating call traffic.
Many organisations wish to control unrestricted access to more expensive call destinations (such as to premium rate numbers, mobiles, international numbers, etc) yet they still need to give staff access to specific expensive destinations for business purposes. Call barring provides extension users with a class of service and is a further way of controlling costs at an extension level depending on time of day.
Aside from controlling costs, we can also provide you with the ability to record telephone conversations. This can be a critical tool whether used for staff training to improve customer service or to resolve customer disputes, enhance employee productivity and meet legal and contractual call recording obligations.
Business broadband
It is vital that any business broadband service provides fast and reliable access to email, the web and other Internet services. We have designed our Internet access facilities specifically to serve the high service levels demanded by our business users. We provide a high speed, reliable broadband service, accompanied by a support package that will ensure you remain online at all times.
Each of our premium broadband solutions can be delivered and installed at the same time as a new analogue (PSTN) line meaning that traditional broadband installation lead times are halved. We can also seamlessly migrate businesses from other Internet service providers with lead time for provision being just six working days.
Our broadband packages give a business class high-speed service with up to 20Mb download speeds as standard and up to 1Mb upload speeds. A high quality wireless router is also included along with up to 20Mb of shared web space and 10 email addresses, each with 50Mb capacity. Up to 13 usable static IP addresses are also available.
As well as providing you with a high speed broadband service, we ensure you avoid the frustration and cost of losing your Internet and email access. A specialist helpdesk is available 24/7/365 and our range of service level agreements offer response times from as little as 8 clock hours through to 48 hours which means that you can be assured that your connection to the Internet will be functioning again as soon as possible, protecting you against prolonged downtime.http://www.swcomms.co.uk/index.php/broadband
Video conferencing
With the evolution of high definition technology, video conferencing has evolved into a vital business tool that provides face-to-face meetings for multiple parties across the UK and the world, while also enabling document and image sharing to promote faster decision making to ensure you bring your products or services to market quicker and stay ahead of your competitors.
Video conferencing will provide an immediate return on investment with travel costs substantially reduced: less mileage, fewer hotel bills and reduced expenses. Furthermore, your workforce will have more time to spend on more productive tasks rather than spending time behind the wheel of a car, in a train or on a plane. This will give you and your colleagues a better work/life balance in terms of less time potentially spent away while video conferencing can also be used to create more personal links and strengthen bonds with more remote clients or other colleagues. All this and you will go some way to meeting your corporate green objectives too.
Video conferencing will probably never fully replace business travel but even using it for a percentage of your meetings will undoubtedly provide a rapid return on your investment. We have supplied and installed video conferencing equipment to customers in the South West, where our headqaurters are based in Exeter, Devon, and the surrounding areas including Plymouth and Cornwall, and further afield to Bristol, Portsmouth, Reading and South Wales.
Our engineering excellence in this field has been demonstrated with a brace of accreditations awarded by LifeSize and Alcatel-Lucent; 2 of the world leaders in from the video conferencing industry. In addition, we are a LifeSize Professional Partner. We can scale a video conferencing solution to suit any company’s needs in terms of size and performance and, working with specialist partners, we can provide the full audio visual solution, including room set-up, bespoke furniture, lighting and microphones. Furthermore, video conferencing can be used as an independent platform or be fully integrated into other packages to build providing a fully unified communications environment.
Business mobiles
We can help you control your call costs with a bespoke business mobile solution that will reflect the diversity of your business needs.
Unlike many of our competitors, we have bucked the trend of signing businesses up to a one-size-fits-all package. Instead we can offer you the flexibility of a blended service which comprises bundles as well as pay-as-you-use tariffs to meet your business needs with the most cost-effective solution.
Many businesses enjoy the predictability of fixed priced bundles that cover calls to UK land lines, cross-network calls, same network calls and inclusive texts. The added benefit of our solution however, is what we provide outside of the bundle in terms of highly competitive call rates between all your company mobiles and, if your company enjoys the benefits of our Lines & Minutes service, calls between your land lines and company mobiles and vice versa. Data and text bolt-ons further enhance the offering and allow companies to protect against unforeseen charges.
We also appreciate that some businesses have members of staff who are light or occasional users for whom a bundle is simply a waste of money. Our pay-as-you-use voice and data tariffs mean that you only pay for what you actually use.
The benefits of our business mobile services also include capped call charges for a fixed term to avoid any unexpected price hikes, simple management and call analysis with our web-based billing platform, a single bill from one supplier, and the opportunity to integrate your mobile phone solution with other South West Communications Group solutions to allow you to enjoy the same functionality as your desktop handset.
We also offer helpdesk support from 8am to 6pm on weekdays and an out-of-hours support answering service should you lose your phone or to prevent unauthorised use of your SIM.
SIP trunks
A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunk service connects a business’s telephone system to the traditional public telephone network via a dedicated IP connection, such as ADSL or an Internet leased line, for making and receiving multiple concurrent telephone calls.
SIP trunking provides your organisation with many benefits including added flexibility and improved business continuity and also offers substantial cost savings over traditional telephony services.
SIP trunks are provided at a lower rental charges than other standard analogue (PSTN) or digital (ISDN) telephone lines plus have the added benefit of greatly reduced call charges and free calls between company sites.
SIP trunks can be provided very swiftly and existing geographic numbers can be retained. As SIP numbers are attached to IP addresses, they have no geographic restrictions and can be routed to any location where an IP connection is available. This means that if a business needs to relocate, or for continuation of business in the event of fire, flood, etc. the published number can be transferred seamlessly without loss of service.
The non geographic nature of SIP trunks also mean that their numbers can be used from a marketing perspective to create a local presence or national. For example, a business could have an Exeter dialling code number even if it is based in Leeds.
When considering a SIP trunk installation, it is important to consider the technical and cost merits of the various IP connectivity options available as the service it is only as good as the connection used to deliver it. SIP is often offered over broadband links which by definition are not carrier class and it would be a brave business manager who committed all of his voice communications to such a technology.
The call quality, the number of simultaneous calls required and the expected resilience should all be considered.
Geographic and non-geographic inbound services
By definition, non geographic numbers do not correspond to a specific geographic location. The owner of the number can target the non geographic number to any existing landline or mobile telephone number.
The principal benefit of a non geographic number is that it is allocated and managed by the company receiving calls, so that calls can be routed intelligently to a location with the necessary resources to process those calls effectively helping you manage out of hours or busy periods with scheduled call routing and divert options together with call queuing facilities and optional automated attendant announcements.
Calls can be routed dynamically to different destinations according to the time of day, day of week and date. Calls may also be routed more intelligently by using features such as the caller’s location, the nature of the call or by the volume of calls received.
The fact that non geographic numbers are "virtual", and completely portable, also means that if a business needs to relocate, or for continuation of business in the event of fire, flood, etc. the published number can be transferred seamlessly from one number to another, without loss of service.
In addition, if a company advertises its products or services through various channels (e.g. press, Web, mailshots, etc), by channelling responses through a range of numbers, it can assess the effectiveness of each of its marketing campaigns by the use of call statistics.
- 0800 freephone non geographic numbers will enhance your company image and increase the response to sales and marketing campaigns.
- 0845/0844 non geographic numbers can be used to give your business a local presence giving your customers peace of mind.
It is now possible to have geographic-non geographic numbers whereby traditional geographic numbers such as 01xx/02xx numbers can also be intelligently routed to any existing landline or mobile telephone number rather than being tied to a particular exchange.
Our inbound telephony services provide online access to a range of easy-to-use call routing, monitoring and managing tools for both geographic and non-geographic numbers.
Local area networks
In today’s information technologically-driven world, a fast, secure and reliable local area network (LAN) is crucial to the success of any organisation whatever the number of users on site. Providing LAN solutions is core to our business and we can provide a consultancy style approach to investigating the requirements of your business to propose suitable solutions to streamline your working practices and cut costs in the process.
A LAN connects computers and other network devices, such as printers, servers and wireless access points, and is the backbone of most organisations enabling reduced costs through colleagues sharing equipment and applications, as well delivering high-speed Internet access. Further savings can be generated by using Voice over IP telephony and video conferencing, all of which we can provide.
Many organisations will already have a LAN which may have been in place for many years. As with any technology, there could be many reasons to consider an upgrade such as hardware reliability, network speed, security or a requirement for new features. We can review your existing LAN and propose suitable upgrades or changes as appropriate.
LANs can be more stringently protected by the addition of security features, such as firewalls to control access to and from the LAN, intrusion prevention systems that can detect and block attacks on your network and a host integrity check whereby users’ PCs must comply with company standards. For larger networks, we are also able to provide a centralised point of management and reporting.
Furthermore, the use of virtual private network (VPN) technology will provide you with access to the same business applications and customer information whether you are working from the main office, a remote office or from home to further streamline your everyday working life.
We can also design, deliver and maintain wireless LANs (WLANs) to provide mobility in the workplace to enable users to access data and the Internet wherever they are on site. This can also be integrated with a PBX to provide Voice over WLAN (VoWLAN).
Point to point microwave
Many businesses of all sizes spend thousands of pounds on leased lines every year and for many, this is now an unnecessary outgoing due to the evolution of point to point microwave technology. Wireless connectivity provides a cost-effective, flexible, secure and extremely reliable solution compared to the limitations of traditional wide area network (WAN) connectivity. We are experts in this field and rely on this technology every day to serve our own network purposes.
Our point to point microwave networks can reliably deliver up to 1Gbps at distances of up to 10km. Our microwave communications site engineers use computer modeling to ascertain the feasibility of using a microwave link taking into consideration the topographical terrain of the location together with assessment of any assistance that can be gained using the reflective nature of surrounding buildings.
Once near line of site has been established, a point to point microwave link can be installed in a matter of days rather than waiting the numerous weeks or months that the installation of a traditional leased line can take. No recurring rental costs will be payable following installation and therefore return on investment is rapid.
A microwave link can deliver significantly more capacity than a leased line and can be reliably used for both data and voice traffic. A microwave link can provide the high bandwidth, low latency networks and true quality of service required for data use and IP telephony therefore offering a true alternative to a leased line.
WiFi hotspots
WiFi hotspot solutions can immediately provide an additional revenue stream for your business and a valuable service to your customers. As a result, the provision of wireless Internet access using WiFi technology has been rapidly embraced by caravan parks, cafés, restaurants, shopping centres, conference centres, hotels and leisure parks alike.
Turning your location into a commercial WiFi hotspot is easy and inexpensive and will instantly generate extra income using tariffs set by you to see a rapid return on your investment. All the revenue earned through our WiFi solutions are retained by the host business.
Our WiFi hotspot solution, surfiT is easy to administer with a minimum of technical knowledge required. Reports on usage, income generated and many other factors can be produced with just a few clicks of the mouse.
surfiT provides instant high speed Internet access that allows customers to email, instant message and browse the web meaning they can cost-effectively keep in touch with both their clients and their own businesses.
This safe, robust WiFi hotspot solution can also be used for recreational use to play online games and to listen to or download music or video, as well email, instant messaging and web browsing. Usage is based on time rather that amount of data transferred.
There is no doubt that surfiT will help raise the profile of your venue or business and, in doing so, distinguish you from your competition. This should boost attendance to your site and extend your customers’ visit times, satisfaction and loyalty.
Furthermore, we can provide larger WiMAX wireless solutions, which can cover entire industrial estates or cities to promote true mobile Internet access solutions to a wide business community.
We are a highly experienced provider of cost-effective voice, data and video wireless networks.
Wide area networks
Wide area networks (WANs) can span large geographical areas to link multiple offices together to help your business become more cohesive and efficient while also saving you money.
If businesses created a communications infrastructure for every individual office, the costs would be huge with hardware, software and human resources duplicated at each site.
A wide area network (WAN) is a communications network that spans a wide geographical area such as between different cities, counties or even countries. WANs are typically used by organisations to facilitate the exchange of voice and data between their dispersed offices helping them to become more cohesive and efficient while also saving money.
The benefits of WAN solutions are unlimited. When you sit in your office, the office 200 miles away feels just like a room next door. You can share information, documents, reports, query databases, search through thousands of records in just seconds. You can share resources such as servers, printers, applications and telephone systems to reduce costs and streamline capabilities. You can share human resources, such as receptionists or IT personnel. The advantages are infinite.
Our WAN services experts can design and deploy the most efficient, secure and cost-effective WAN solution for your business using a range of modern technologies. We can span large geographical areas and link many local area networks (LANs) using a reliable, efficient and secure network.
Our network engineers build WANs using traditional leased lines, more flexible technologies, such as point to point microwave, virtual private networks (VPN) and multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), or a mix of these technologies to ensure your network matches your business requirements as well as your budget.
We advise all of our customers to build failover into every WAN to ensure continuity of service. Failover should be automatic and operationally transparent to our customers.
We also provide a platinum 24/7/365 support service for total peace of mind.
Internet services
Email and therefore the Internet is one of the primary communications links between you, your customers and your suppliers. While most organisations can cope without it for a short time, it would become irritating as time went on and would become unbearable as hours turned into days.
We understand the needs and high service levels demanded by today’s business community and have designed a portfolio of Internet services that take into account the needs for resilience and protection, the range of different Internet technologies available and their application to commercial requirements.
Our business broadband service offers up to 20Mb* of uncontended Internet download speed (*subject to availability and distance from exchange). These uncontended services ensure that the bandwidth is dedicated to you alone, opposed to standard ADSL offerings where contention ratios of up to 50:1 are common place.
Our dedicated Internet leased line connections offer secure private connections directly to the Internet backbone delivering between 2 - 100Mb bandwidth. These leased lines provide full duplex, which means that the full bandwidth is available both for upload and download.
We can also provide fully managed, resilient, dedicated Internet bandwidth access to deliver a fixed bandwidth capacity for a fixed monthly charge with no variable data transfer charge – this means that the bandwidth can constantly be utilised at full capacity without additional charges. We are also able to flex bandwidth on demand to allow you to purchase extra bandwidth on either a month to month basis or as part of a percentile charging scheme.
Protecting your Internet access is also key, so we have partnered with Symantec to provide the MessageLabs E-mail security and content control service including anti-virus, anti-spam, content filtering and image control. This service not only protects your network but also frees up bandwidth on your Internet connection by eliminating unwanted virus and spam e-mails before they even touch your connection; one customer recently reported a drop of 83% in traffic after implementing anti-spam measures.
Server hosting
A server is the main communications tool used to stay in touch with suppliers and customers. A few hours, days or even longer without access to your data or email will all too clearly illustrate how important servers are; work can simply grind to a halt.
Servers need to be kept clean and at the right temperature, maintained regularly, protected from unauthorised access, connected to an uninterruptable power supply and linked to your network with efficient connectivity. Delivering these elements can be time consuming and costly. Businesses across the UK entrust us to look after their data on servers in our data centre, releasing internal IT personnel from mundane infrastructure-related tasks to supporting the business more effectively.
As well as enjoying a world class infrastructure, the servers in our data centre are linked to our clients via resilient connectivity and are safe from physical threat and online attack.
We offer the ability for our customers to host their own server equipment within our data centre, whereby we install the equipment into the racks, connect the appropriate amount of power, Internet bandwidth and cooling and maintain a clean and safe computer environment.
Alternatively, for a large number of customers, we provide managed server hosting services whereby we rent the server equipment and are responsible for all hardware and Microsoft operating system faults. We have partnerships with Cisco, Dell, IBM and HP enabling us to provide managed server solutions from best of breed vendors.
Pairs of firewalls are available to restrict unwanted access to servers and to ensure that if one firewall fails, the other is still active. Alternatively, a raw Internet connection can be provided allowing you to provide your own network security.
A dedicated workshop area is available for customers to use for upgrades, administration and housekeeping.
We provide 24 hour proactive monitoring of the electrical power, network connections and Internet bandwidth.
Virtualization
Virtualization is a cost-saving service that allows you to run multiple operating systems, incorporating applications such as websites and databases, on a single piece of hardware or high availability cluster. Servers tend to only be operating at just 10% of their capacity at any one time with surges on processing occurring at different times of the month, such as when the accounts department needs to run its payroll or billing programmes. Virtualization is easily scalable and seasonal traffic spikes can be addressed with ease.
We provide VMware virtualized server environments which have the benefit of reducing the amount of required, electrical power, data centre rackspace, cooling and under-utilised processing resources. By reducing these requirements, virtualization provides a great benefit to the environment, with the added bonus of reducing costs.
A virtualized environment also enables new servers and applications to be implemented quickly and efficiently (within hours if required) instead of having to wait for the delivery of hardware and software. This provides customers with a powerful and flexible facility for setting up, testing and development of servers prior to having to go live on a single server. VMware can also automatically allocate spare processing and memory resources to a virtual machine which has become heavily utilised to ensure that the performance of the individual application is maintained.
With VMware High Availability we can also deliver a high level of resilience protecting your environment from any server and operating system outages. With the ability to detect server issues and initiate a new server resource to the virtual machine, downtime is limited and your resources remain online and available to your staff, customers and suppliers.
For the majority of our customers, the new virtualized equipment will be hosted in our Exeter data centre; however we can provide virtualized environments at customer premises if required.
Data backup
Our service eliminates the need to buy, change, transport, catalogue and store tapes by providing automated online data backup and off-site storage, as well as rapid recovery of critical server, desktop or laptop data. Being a remote solution, it also overcomes any environmental issues local to the customer’s site.
Companies can now eliminate the burden and the risk associated with manual tape-based procedures, saving time and money in the process. In today’s business environment, even a few minutes of irrecoverable data can lead to loss of revenue, customers and reputation.
storeiP protects your data every step of the way. By incorporating the leading 448bit security encryption technology available, storeiP safeguards your data using off-site storage at our industry leading data centre. In fact, storeiP is the most secure product of its class. Our data centre facility features stringent physical security along with emergency backup generators and fire protection systems.
storeiP uses industry-leading encryption and top quality security authentication to ensure that any sensitive data stored, transmitted or accessed online is given the highest standard of business-level protection.
After the initial data capture, storeiP backs up your critical data which copies only the changes in your files and databases at bit level meaning it is highly efficient and available on low bandwidth connections (e.g. ADSL). As a result, your backup is always up to date, and this highly efficient process minimises both local and remote server bandwidth usage.
The storeiP data backup solution includes an administration tool which lets you manage and monitor the entire backup and storage process. While storeiP automates all backup functions, you retain complete control of your backup operation by creating business rules and backup policies, checking status and initiating restore requests.
storeiP retrieval technology permits you to selectively restore data from a catalogue of all archived file versions. In the event of a complete server, PC or laptop failure, we can provide the encrypted data on a USB hard drive, ready for you to collect and restore.
