 NS Medical Systems is a Northwest based business specialising in many aspects of the maintenance of medical equipment calibration commnonly used in primary care and hospitals.We provide on-site calibration, maintenance and repair of the following types of equipments : Cardiology Equipment, Lung Function Equipment and other general Physiological Measurement Equipment.

Our clients consist of Health Centres, GP Surgeries, Dental Surgeries, NHS & Private Hospitals, Educational Establishments and other private health service providers.

All NS Medical Systems technician and engineers are fully qualified to carry out all the services we provide. All personnel are kept updated and retrained as required. This is done to ensure the customer recieves an effiecient and competant service. Evidence of qualifications and training is available on request. All test equipment used in our calibration service is in itself fully calibrated and traceable to national standards.

Calibration Syringe
Many PCTs now advise or rule along with the NICE guidlines which say spirometers should be calibrated on more frequently on a daily basis as has been the case in lung function departments for many years. As it it costly and impractical to call out any engineer to do this on a daily basis , the only choice is to purchase a calibration syringe and carry out a calibration or accuracy verification as and when required.

On-site Test and Calibration Service
This service is tailored for test and calibration of all qualifying equipment used in your practice to be completed in one visit with the minimum of disruption to the health centre or surgery.

Test and calibration service is available for all types of health centre/surgery equipment ranging from Body Mass Scales, Medical Thermometers, Blood Pressure Units, Spirometer, ECGs to suggest a few.

The applicable fixed price charged ensures every item to be tested, inpected or calibrated, is done whichout any hidden costs or extra charges. If for any reason a secondary visit is required to finish the work it will be free of charge.
(Fixed price applies until completion).

To ensure all the work is completed in a single session, two persons will be in attendance. This usually ensures one visit will suffice.

All equipment is calibrated using test equipment which is designed to test the specific type of equipment under test and whose calibration is itself traceable to national standards.

All calibration data is recorded in order to produce the calibration document which is provided to the customer upon completion of testing.

All testing is carried out by a comptetant and fully trained technician.

Send Equipment to us for Calibration
This service is designed to deal with any equipment which you suspect is inaccurate or you have aquired a piece of equipment which does not appear to have any evidence of valid calibration. You could request a site visit to get one or two items calibrated but this is usually expensive for so few items.Under these circumstances it is much more cost effective to parcel the items to us so we can calibrate then in house then return them to you.

This service is available for many types of physiological measurement equipment, ranging from Body Mass Scales, Medical Thermometers, Blood Pressure Units, Spirometer, ECGs.

However if it is impractical to send equipmet to us for example if it is to large or to heavy then we advice you request a site visit instead.

Maintenance (On-site/Send in)
For certain equipment a once a year calibration is simply not enough. Maintenance is required to ensure the equipment performs satisfactorily throughout its commision. For such equipment routine servicing or planned preventative maintenance is necessary.

Maintenance can be carried out on-site or the equipment can be sent to us for serviceing at our workshop. Maintenance can also be combined with a calibration visit. The cost of maintenance is then added on.

ECG units, Spirometers, Thermocautery, Nebulisers, are examples of equipment which would benefit from full servicing or maintenance. 

Mercury Removal
NS Medical Systems does now provide a service to remove items from your surgery that contain mercury this service is limited to Mercurial Spygmanometers, Mercurial thermometers.

PAT Testing
Please note any medical equipment that we maintain through our maintenance or repair service is fully electrical safety tested as part of the service. We are fully qualified to carry out Medical Equipment Electrical Safety Testing.

PAT testing is a much simpler afair for non-medical equipment which we are qualified to do. however we choose not to do this our self as specialist PAT testing companies can do this much cheaper. We have partner companies that can do this testing for under £1.50 per item. These companies have proved to be very good providers of this service on our behalf. So that the customer gets the best possible price we do not charge these companies any commisions or finders fees.
