We are resellers of two types of linear transducers. The LT series of linear transducers uses contacts and a rod. The PK series of linear transducers uses a cursor and magnetostrictive technology.

To get a no obligation quotation, simply supply us with the transducers unique part number (usually displayed on the side of the transducer).

• Cast heaters are effectively a tubular heating element embedding inside a cast metal.  Casting alloys used are pure or secondary aluminium, brass, bronze and iron.
• The cast heater inherits the versatility of aluminium gravity castings in that there is virtually no limitations to the shapes that can be cast.  The limitation on whether or not I can offer a cast heater usually depends on whether or not there is enough area to embed a formed 8mm diameter tubular element.  Different diameters of tubular elements are also available but are less common.
• The high thermal conductivity of aluminium provides extremely uniform surface temperatures with cast heaters.   This uniform heat distribution also makes accurate temperature control easier.
• Cast heaters have exceptionally long life due to the rugged contamination-resistant aluminium casting construction.  Compared to other heaters you'll enjoy fewer heater failures, lower maintenance costs, lower replacement costs and less production downtime.
• Depending on which aluminium alloy is used the maximum surface temperature can range from 375 to 454 degrees centigrade.  Using aluminium bronze alloy this can be increased to 730 degrees centigrade.
• The maximum watts density on the element for aluminium alloy casting is 35 watts per square inch and for aluminium bronze is 45 watts per square inch.
• The minimum thickness of heater that can be produced by my European supplier is 20mm.
• Typical manufacturing leadtimes are 6 to 8 working weeks from receipt of your official purchase order.
• I always produce a dimensioned technical drawing for this type of heater.
• I can offer cast heaters with heating only, heating and cooling, or cooling only capability.  The cooling may be achieved by passing air over the heater or by running cold water through tubes that have been embedded in the casting.

Dynisco 1390 Indicator Series

Microprocessor based strain guage indicating panel meter. 5 digit LED 13.2mm (0.5 inch) high. 2 red LED's for alarm indication, 1 green LED for remote configuration. Screw terminals on rear with safety covers. Front panel rated to IP64 / NEMA4 when used with gasket. Operating temperature 0 C to 55 C or 32 F to 130 F. Remote configuration is possible with this pressure indicator as it has a cable hook up. You would need Dynisco software to configure remotely.

The difficulty we find at www.resistanceheaters.co.uk in sourcing industrial tubular heaters is that many of the manufacturers of this type of heater are geared up to produce large quantities (i.e. 1 Million) and invariably industrial applications only require tens off. Consequently if you approach a manufacturer and ask for a quotation for a small quantity of industrial tubular heaters they will appear relatively expensive when compared to a heater that is used in a domestic application. This is because the manufacturer of industrial tubular heaters will include the cost of setting up his machine in the price you are quoted. We do however, know of a UK manufacturing facility that is prepared to supply small quantities of industrial tubular heaters at competitive prices and in a couple of weeks manufacturing lead time.

They carry the following threaded fittings in stock so they can fit the industrial tubular heaters into assemblies quickly. They have BSP threads. 1 inch, 1 1/4 inch, 1 1/2 inch, 2 inch, 2 1/4 inch and 2 1/2 inch. We can also offer flanged immersion heaters but you would need to provide us with a dimensioned drawing of your flange or a sample to work to. They carry the following diameters of industrial tubular heaters in stock again to reduce assembly time. 8mm or 5/16 inch diameter, 1/4 inch diameter and 1/2 inch diameter. The sheath materials we can offer are incoloy, 316 stainless steel and 321 stainless steel. We can offer industrial tubular heaters which have a capillary tube thermostat in the terminal box which can be used for over temperature protection of the industrial tubular heaters. For a complete solution Resistance Heaters Ltd can offer a temperature control panel with process control including power switching and fusing. We normally supply tubular heaters to the UK market but we are also happy to supply to VAT registered companies in the EU.

The picture above shows a 0.430 inch diameter formed tubular heater with bulkhead fittings that was used as an air heater in a duct. The customer provided me with a sample heater that I used to take dimensions from and I produced a technical drawing.
