Peristaltic Pumps

Peristaltic Pumps

Castle Pumps supply Bombas Boyser Peristaltic pumps which can be used to pump liquids such as sludge, lime slurry, paints, glues and various other liquids.

A peristaltic pump is a positive displacement pump used to pump liquids. A peristatlic pump contains a flexible tube that runs from the suction port of the pump to the discharge of the pump. A motor is then used to rotate around the rubber tube which compresses the tube causing a vacuum to be created to create a suction lift until the tube is filled with the liquid. Once the tube is filled with the liquid the roller then compresses the tube and in doing so moves the liquid through the tube by compression much like a hand compressing a tube of toothpaste. The roller continues to rotate around the pump and the speed can typically be controlled by a gear reducer being fitted or by an inverter in which the operator selects the desired speed of the pump.

Examples of Peristaltic Pump applications include:

  • Sludge, lime slurry, mortar, filter press feed, clay slurry, Radioactive Slurry, Lime Slurry carbonates, slurries, Kaolin, seawater with sand etc...
  • Paints, glues, inks, latex, pigments, oils, detergents, acids, peroxides, etc...
  • Milk products, wines, sauces, jams, liquid eggs, mayonnaise, meat products, fruit juices, etc...

The main charecteristics of a peristaltic pump include:

  • Suction lift to 9 Metres
  • Can run dry without damage
  • Seal-less
  • Reversible Rotation
  • Resistant to abrasion
  • Highly accurate dosing application + - 1%
  • Resistant to corrosion
  • Silent
  • Easy to clean

Contact Castle Pumps for more information on perisitaltic pumps and to discuss your requirement further.

Vane Pumps

Vane Pumps

Vane Pumps are often used for low viscosity fluid such as solvents, oils, petrols, asphalts and emulsions. Vane pumps are buklt to ensure no internal metal to metal contact enabling them to maintain performance whilst pumping non lubricating liquids at high temperatures. Vane pumps are easy to maintain, and have excellent dry priming capabilities.

Castle Pumps can supply vane pumps for the following applications:

  • Oil & Gas refineries
  • Packaging Plants
  • Animal Feed plants
  • Asphalts, Emulsions, Bitumen, Fats, Paraffin, Solvents, Petrol, Gas-oils, Fuel Oil

Castle pumps can supply many different types of Vane pumps however specifcally we can supply Vane Pumps with the following features :

BAL-2R

Constant flow, silent, sturdy and high-performance positive displacement vane pump.
Especially suitable for the storage of all kinds of liquids other than abrasives and those that contain solid particles in suspension.

BAL-2R Type with two mechanical seals and two bearings

BAL-C

Positive displacement vane pump with built-in hot chamber, very useful when the product to be transferred has to be heated. The chamber can be used with hot water, oil or steam. This model can be fitted with a packaging unit or mechanical seal. The working temperature is over 250 degrees centigrade, thanks to the materials used in its manufacture, i.e., iron and stainless steel.

BAL-D

Positive displacement vane pump designed specially for transferring liquid fuels in tanker trucks. This pump has a dual shaft output to avoid having to invert the pump according to the side on which the power take-off is placed. The water-tightness of the liquid to be transferred is ensured by two mechanical seals.

Magnetic Drive Pumps

Magnetic Drive Pumps

Castle Pumps can supply Magnetic drive pumps for use in applications where a seal less leak free pump is required, for example when concentrated / corrosive chemicals are used. The liquid end parts are made of advanced corrosion resistant materials such as fluororesins and fine ceramics, and the major fluoroplastic parts are reinforced with special metal inserts for added mechanical strength and durability.Castle Pumps can supply magnetic drive pumps with capacities  up to 4000L/min at 50M head.
