Alton Cleaning Services Ltd
Alton Cleaning Services (formerly CHR) mainly operates within the Yorkshire area where we offer various types of cleaning services. We do travel further afield at our clients request.
The majority of the works we carry out for our clients is completed during the night or at a weekend, causing little or no disruption to our clients business.
We use advanced cleaning systems which improves the quality of the finished product.

Our Services
Block Paving / Hard Surface Cleaning
There are several methods that ACS uses. Hot / cold power wash or mechanical scrubbing or a combination of both. Post cleaning the block paving is then re-sanded using ‘kiln dried’ sand.
Concrete floors and coated car park surfaces are cleaned using a ride-on scrubber drier accompanied by a traffic film remover.
Carpet Cleaning
Pro-Chem machines are used. The cleaning agents / products used are those recommended by the carpet manufacturers.
Chewing Gum Removal
There are two methods depending on what the requirements of the client are. Gum Buster machine or by jet washing using a hot water system. Both do an equally good job however one uses hot water and is less time consuming than the other which uses steam and chemicals.
Cladding / Fascias / Coated Surfaces
By using the ‘Omnipole’ pressure fed pole cleaning system we are able to reach heights of up to 48 ft (14.76m). This removes the need for access equipment.
Fly-tipping Removal
We are able to remove all items and clean the area, using local authorised waste traders to dispose of the waste.
Graffiti Removal
ACS uses a hot water and cold water system. Depending on the severity of the graffiti and the type of surface it may be necessary to additionally use chemicals.
Gutter Cleaning
A remote CCTV camera allows us to survey the gutters pre & post cleaning. An Omnipole GutterVac System is then used which can reach heights of up to 48 ft (14.76m). The equipment has been specially adapted to be able to clean warehouse type of rainwater gutters and canopy guttering. Our operatives are trained to use man-safe systems where fitted.
Site Cleaning
ACS currently provides site cleaning services to several retail outlets and office blocks. Our duties include litter picking and general cleaning duties. A site specific ‘Scope of Works’ are assembled to meet the needs of the client.
Snow Clearance & Gritting
A mini tractor fitted with a 42” plough & towable gritter is used, this service is available to clear small car parks & footpaths.
Window / Canopy Cleaning
An Omnipole pure water fed pole cleaning system is used which can reach heights of up to 48 ft (14.76m). A specially adapted system allows most canopies to be cleaned from ground level. Where necessary, high access equipment is used.
