GD Secuirty can provide a range of systems to ensure your premises, staff, and clients are as secure as possible. The key systems are Intruder Alarms, Access Control and CCTV.

An intruder alarm is designed to deter a potential burglary by alerting others of the intrusion. Burglars are more likely to target a property without an intruder alarm.

• TYP 1 - Hard Wired - Regarded by Police, Insurance companies and Security companies as the preferred option.

All devices are connected by cable to the control panel.

• TYP 2 - Wire Free (Radio) - Easy to install than a wired system.

Typically used for Home Installations. Wire free system do not have a wide range of equipment available.

Types of Notification

• TYP 1 - Audible Only - The alarm sounds at the premises only. Response is reliant on somebody contacting the police to report it. Many forces have a policy whereby they will not attend audible only alarms unless there is additional evidence to suggest a crime is being committed, in other words they are not likely to attend unless you report a visual sighting or noises such as glass breaking.If a positive response is required then a monitored system should be considered.
   
• TYP 2 - Monitored - An alarm sounds at the premises and a signal is sent to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) via your phone line, wireless network or even by satellite! The ARC will contact the police and your nominated keyholders. They will also try to filer out false alarms and, in the case of a personal attack activation; they will try to contact the premises. A Confirmed Monitored alarm will usually qualify for an immediate police response.

Access control systems are most effective against the increase of 'walk in' crimes. They assist in the prevention of, loss of stock, theft of personal possessions, protecting sensitive information and increase the safety of employees.

• You will control who is allowed to enter your premises, which areas of your premises they are allowed to go into and when they are allowed to do so.
• You can restrict access to certain sectors of a building.
• Access control will give reports on staff activities and can be integrated with HR systems for ease of monitoring and data management.
• Integrate with other security systems for centralised management of the site.
• Assist with car park management.
• Help compliance with requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act.
• Increase security by doubling the access card with a Photo ID badge.

Education: Schools, Colleges and Universities can be easy targets and securing them can be difficult, they are often mazes with numerous groups using parts of the site at differing times. GD Security has been designing Intruder Alarms for the education sector for over 20 years, we understand the issues, segregated systems are often a must. We install and maintain intruder alarm systems in homes to suit all requirements and budgets from Audible Only to remotely monitored at our dedicated Alarm Receiving Centre via signalling equipment such as Digital Communicator or RedCare.

There are different types of Intruder alarm available for the protection of your home. They can be categorised into two types, Audible Only and Monitored. There are also two types of installation, hard-wired and wireless.

Audible Only: When activated the alarm sounds at the premises only. Response is reliant on a neighbour notifying the authorities. Many Police forces have a policy to not attend Audible Only alarms unless there is additional evidence to suggest a crime is being committed, i.e. the person reporting the activation confirming a sighting or a broken window.

Monitored: When activated the alarm sounds at the premises and a signal is sent to an alarm-receiving centre via your phone line and/or mobile network. The receiving centre will contact the nominated key holders and police (subject to confirmation routines).

The visual presence of the Intruder Alarm will deter most potential burglars. The cruel fact is they will seek an easier target.

Hard Wired: Regarded by Police, Insurance companies and Security companies as the preferred option. All devices are connected by cable to the control panel. Our Engineers are experts in concealing the cables and we will keep disruption and mess to a minimum.

Wireless: Wireless systems are generally easier and quicker to install than a wired system. They are not quite as flexible as hard wired systems but are becoming the favoured system for home security.

You can pay for your system using 12 months interest free credit, subject to status, with a 25% deposit and the balance being paid by standing order.
