SAC Systems Ltd. has evolved since 1987 when it was originally set-up by Malcolm Bird, the name was then Swift Automation. The company provided systems integration and programming for PLC systems used for machine contol in manufacturing industries.
Over the next ten years the turnover of the company increased as the PLC control market increased.
The introduction of SCADA (supervisory control & data aquisition systems) based on PC's as additions to PLC's for machine control provided a new area for Swift Automation to concentrate on.
In 1997 Swift Automation became limited and the name formalised as Swift Automation & Control Systems Ltd.
Since December 2001 Swift Automation & Control Systems has re-emphisis itself on providing solutions for MIS (management Information System) allowing the gathering of shop floor data direct from PLC's and providing this as intranet based information for management.
SAC Systems Ltd. can provide complete solutions from the PLC level machine control to enterprise wide data on Intranets.
