Air Knife Drying Systems
Secomak manufacture a comprehensive range of bottle, can and packaged food Air Knife Drying Systems for the Food and Beverage industries. Secomak Air Knife Drying Systems remove water, condensation and moisture particles from bottles, cans, jars, tins, pouches or ready meal containers. Secomak Air Knife Drying Systems are efficient and cost effective and are deigned to solve the various drying application problems that occur in many production processes.
Compressed Air Products
Beckair (a division of Secomak Ltd) manufacture compressed air driven and electric powered products along with technology. Beckair products are designed to solve cooling, drying, conveying, extracting, ventilating and cleaning application problems encountered by manufacturing and service industries, the military, government departments and the utilities. Beckair products operate at low energy and noise levels and are capable of meeting customer requirements in an economic, safe and environmentally sound way. This results in small carbon footprint created by lower running costs. Components are designed to contain no moving parts and are maintenance free.
Beckair Ringjet Air Amplifiers are used for cooling components or people and extracting fumes, water and dust. Ringjet Air Amplifiers can also be used for drying purposes in process, food and manufacturing industries.
Beckair Ringjet Air Conveyors are ideal for conveying and extracting all types of parts and materials without blowers, pumps or electricity.
Beckair Neublade Air Knife is a powerful, whisper-quiet blade providing ambient air used for drying, cleaning and cooling applications. Neublade Air Knives can also be used as an Air Curtain for fume and heat contaminant from ovens and furnaces. Beckair Neublade Air Knives are available in various sizes.
Beckair’s Airmiser uses a series of annular nozzles instead of a single hole to create a safer, more energy efficient, lower noise alternative to open tubes and pipes. Because of the risk of serious injury from compressed air entering the bloodstream from single open pipes at high pressures, the multi-nozzle arrangement of the Airmiser Nozzles is designed to be a much safer alternative. Replacing open jets with Airmiser Nozzles will give significantly reduced air consumption and lower noise levels and in most cases it is a simple operation to install Airmiser Nozzles. Airmiser Nozzles are suitable for use individually or in multiple arrays to create a much greater effect.
Beckair Airmiser Jets use the proven technology from Ringjets to create a high velocity flow where greater performance is required for blow off and cooling
Beckair’s Safety Handgun uses the same technology as the Airmiser but with the convenience of an ergonomic handle making it a useful general purpose blow off tool
Beckair’s Airsaver Control Unit is a compressed air control device designed to switch off the compressed air supply when it is not needed. Many industrial processes use compressed air continuously even when the production process has stopped, no parts are present or the air is only used for part of the cycle. By using the Airsaver Control Unit with a sensor (or linking to the machine control), the compressed air can be switched off when not needed giving reduced consumption and cost. The software analyses the sensor to detect both line stops and no products. The Airsaver Control Unit can be used with a variety of sensors and has an in built timer to control how quickly the unit will respond to the sensor and shut off the air supply. Start up is instantaneous once a moving object is sensed again.
Beckair’s Airsaver Flowmeter is an easy to use, digital flow meter designed to measure the compressed air flow. By simply placing the flow meter in the line to be analysed, the air flow can be measured and an assessment be made on efficiency of the process. It is especially suitable for home made devices where no performance figures exist. Potential upgrades to equipment can then be cost justified and payback periods calculated accurately. The unit has an integral 4-digit display which allows information to be gathered at the point of measurement. Peak, present and average consumption can all be monitored and there are programmable alarm functions should air consumption rise over set limits indicating a leak or malfunction.
Beckair’s Pneu-Power is a bladeless, motorless fan which connects to flexible hose and gives high vacuum or high flow for conveying and extracting all kinds of materials over long distances.
Beckair’s Clustajet Ventilators are a compressed air operated fan which utilise Ringjet technology to create a robust, maintenance free, high performance ventilator. Clustajet Ventilators use compressed air therefore no electrical supply is needed making it suitable for safe use in outdoor and damp or wet locations. For a given airflow, Clustajet Ventilators are lighter in weight and smaller than equivalent electric fans. Clustajet Ventilators are suitable for use in hazardous areas, such as ventilating sewers, tunnels, manholes, fuel tank silos, vats and similar spaces requiring the transport of air, dust, fumes or dangerous gases over long distances. Clustajet Ventilators also provide a cool, high volume stream of air which is suitable for cooling components, processes and drying.
Beckair’s Midgivac is an ATEX approved Vacuum Cleaner suitable for confined spaces or hazardous locations. Midgivac is a small, compact compressed air driven vacuum cleaner designed for removing debris including glass, swarf, metal chippings, plastic particles, dust and powder. As the Midgivac is ATEX approved it is suitable for use in Gas Zone 2 and Dust Zone 22.
Beckair’s general purpose Flexible Hose is for use with Clustajet Ventilators. Manufactured from PVC coated glass cloth supported by a high tensile steel wire, it is flexible with a high resistance to puncture and tearing. It is fire resistant and suitable for use between -20°C and + 70°C (- 4°F and 158°F).
Beckair’s Rigiflex ‘Stay Put’ Hoses are designed to work with Beckair Nozzles, Air Amplifiers and Small Neublade Air Knives to allow easy mounting into the required location without further support. Adjustments to the position can then be quickly made at any time to improve the performance of the device. Manufactured from a composite pvc/aluminium it is impervious to most chemical containing atmospheres.
Gas Boosters and Gas Booster Spares
Secomak Gas Boosters are manufactured in the UK to and beyond the British Standard BS8487:2007. Secomak Gas Boosters are based on centrifugal fan designs and give high performance from a small physical size. The Secomak Gas Boosters layout occupies less space than direct drive Gas Boosters of conventional design and comparable performance. Package Gas Booster Units come complete with all necessary controls. All Secomak Gas Booster models are suitable for use in ambient temperatures up to 40°C and are continuously rated. Motors are T.E.F.C and are protected to IP54. Gas Booster spares are readily available; drive belts, motors and bearing assemblies
Fans, Blowers, Exhausters and Spares
Secomak manufacture a range of Fans, Blowers,Exhausters and Spares offer high performance units that are both flexible and compact. Secomak Fans, Blowers, Exhausters and Spares are heavy-duty, high-quality units suitable for a variety of industrial applications which include: drying, cooling, heating, cleaning, pneumatic, conveying, aeration, fluidising, air-sampling, extracting, combustion air, vacuum lifting and holding. Spares for Fans, Blowers and Exhausters are readily available; drive belts, motors and bearing assemblies.
Industrial Process Heaters
Secomak have been producing specialist Heaters and hot air equipment for industrial processes for over 60 years and as a result have developed a unique range of Process Air Heaters and Process Air Heater Sets. Secomak Process Heaters offer a flexible and easy to install instantaneous supply of clean dry controlled hot air which are cost effective and give a quick return on investment.
Latex-Testing Machines
Secomak Ltd is the one and only accredited global manufacturer of quality and reliable Latex Testing Machines throughout the world. Secomak Latex Testing Machines are all manufactured to the following British and International Standards; BS 6057 Part 3 Section 3.1 (ISO 35), BS 6057 Part 3 Section 3.14 (ISO 2006), ASTM Designation D1076 – 88 & ASTM Designation D1417 – 90, ensuring high class production. Latex Testing Machines are used to test the mechanical stability of concentrated natural synthetic latex rubber when subjected to high speed mechanical stirring or mechanical shear. Secomak Latex Testing Machines have a highly reliable series wound motor which is electronically controlled and incorporates a feedback system to accurately maintain the selected speed.
Air Knives and Air Knife Kits
Secomak Air Knives are designed to deliver a continuous sheet of precisely controlled high velocity air for stripping away moisture and debris. Secomak offer Straight Air Knives which are used for drying a wide variety of sheet materials, boards, extrusions, bottles, jars, cans, components & castings. They have adjustable slot widths for optimum power and a unique air diffuser system. Secomak also manufacture special small section Air knives for use in confined spaces. Secomak Circular Air Knives are used for drying continuous extrusions, cables, tubes, rods, after water chillers or to remove coolant from wire drawing. Secomak Circular Air Knives can replace compressed air systems within the continuous extrusion industry. Circular Air Knives are available with wide diameters for plastic extrusions, under sea cables and large diameter continuous strips. Narrow diameter Circular Air Knives are also offered for rubber extrusions, plastic coated wire, and small dia continuous strips. All Secomak Air Knives are used in a wide range of industrial applications and are designed to ease installation and require minimum maintenance. Secomak Air Knives offer lower energy costs when compared with alternative methods of drying and are available in various sizes.
Static Control: Ionising Air Knife
Beckair’s Ionising Air Knife is an efficient method of removing static from large and small product surfaces or equipment that need cleaning or neutralizing such as plastics, sheets, webs and parts. The Ionising Air Knife is a high performance Air Knife with an ionising bar attached to its lower surface. Combinations of positive and negative ions from the ionising bar are carried by the Air Knife to deliver a curtain of ionised air over long distances. The ionised air eliminates jamming of machinery, and prevents tearing, dust attraction and harmful shocks. The Ionising Air Knife utilises innovative technology and is designed to give highest performance, by delivering high pressure, low noise and low volume ionised air consumption. Compressed air is used to establish a flow straightening technology which provides an exceptionally laminar sheet of air that clears product surfaces or equipment of static particles.
Thermo-shrink Tunnels
Secomak’s range of Thermo-shrink tunnels are designed specifically for shrinking & labelling using heat re-active plastic sleeves onto a variety of products. A broad range of machines have been developed utilising our own heavy-duty re-circulation fans and industrial heaters. Secomak Thermo-shrink tunnels can be used in applications such as tamper evident sealing, labelling consumer goods, packages and bottles, promotional branding, cap sealing bottles, leak-proof sealing and packaging.
