Welcome to Mollart Cox Engineering – the UK’s largest and most diverse privately owned sub-contract machining facility. We have unparalleled levels of expertise in all aspects of  deep hole drilling, gun drilling and large CNC machining with a reputation solidly built on being able to offer complete engineering solutions whatever your needs.

Mollart-Cox will always look at the correct method to deep hole drill any specific component. We will develop specialised tooling if it is required, from a plain flat bottom bore up to angles and domes for some of our current aerospace customers.

At Mollart-Cox we feel gun drilling is the most accurate and cost effective method for drilling small diameter holes.

We currently have at our manufacturing facility, 10 gun drilling spindles and have just taken delivery of our purpose built 6 metre gun drill. This will revolutionize gun drilling in the U.K.

CNC Honing, Manual Honing

Honing is the last operation to take place on the internal diameters of components. It is a finishing process which allows Mollart-Cox Engineering to achieve extremely tight tolerances and very high quality surface finishes.
 

Inspection at Mollart-Cox is a key ingredient to how we produce fully machined components to the customer's specification and offer full traceability with each individual component.

At Mollart Cox we can mill various shapes and sizes up to 10 tonnes. We can create all different shapes and are also able to offer tapping for such things as lifting holes.
 

With a large bandsaw now installed at Mollart Cox we are now able to offer sawing of up to 15.5” in diameter.  We are able to saw all different shapes, sizes and materials. With continuous investment in the latest carbide saw blades, we are able to saw all different types of material ranging from mild steel through to Inconel.
 

CNC Turning / Manual Turning

Our capacity is from the smallest of pieces right up to 850mm diameter x 5m in length. Our CNC lathes we have offer the very best in quality and accuracy.
