Fumetec was established in 1991 and its senior staff has over 25 years experience within the fume cupboard and fume extraction industry.

Radio Active fume cupboards are constructed with a 316 grade stainless steel one-piece internal chamber.

The chamber would be fully welded with radiused seams and polished.

For additional protection lead lined chambers are also an option. These fume cupboards are available in both standard and non standard sizes including a full range of services and optional extras.

Extensively used in microelectronics, pharmaceutical and educational establishments where both product and personnel protection is paramount..

Fumetec manufacture custom built chemical stations with or without HEPA filtered air supply. Exhaust is via downdraught slots and perforated worktops then discharged to atmosphere or carbon filtered and re-circulated. Laminar flow is to a minimum BS5295 Class E/F.

Equipment
The wet stations can consist of 3 sections, top, middle and bottom.
• The top section can be a plastic or epoxy coated steel box housing fan and HEPA filter arrangements.
• The middle section provides the working enclosure with the front section having a vertically sliding sash arrangement.
• The bottom section provides a framework with cassette, worktop and extract take-off point.

Internal Linings and Worktops
Worktops are chosen for their suitability for the chemicals and processes used.

Materials include:
• Stainless steel.
• PVC/Polypropylene.

Optional Extras and Services
• Alarm/control panels.
• Water front controls & outlets, i.e. cold/hot water, steam.
• Spray guns for wash down of worktop area.
• Gas front controls & outlets, i.e. nitrogen, compressed air, natural gas, vacuum, hydrogen.
• Electrical socket outlets, i.e. single, double, RCD protected, spark proof.
• Waste outlets, i.e. circular drip cups, oval drip cups, sinks, troughs.
 

Fumetec is an ISO 9001 registered company and all work is carried out to the latest British Standards and complies with all current technical and safety regulations. Fumetec offer an advisory, design, manufacturing and installation service to ensure that correct equipment is supplied to clients. The professionally designed fume cupboards and extraction systems ensure excellent performance, low noise levels, minimum heating costs and a high level of safety.

All products are designed and manufactured using modern machinery equipped with the latest CNC technology, for cutting, punching and bending operations. Painting and finishing is carried out using a 3 stage cleaning process, prior to the epoxy powder coating of components on a fully automated and computerised painting plant. This process ensures consistent paint quality, thickness and finish. Delivery and installation is carried out using our own fleet of vehicles and highly skilled installation engineers.

Fumetec’s development team is constantly reviewing new designs for their products, investigating new materials and discussing the ever changing requirements of their clients.

This ongoing development programme ensures Fumetec’s products are always ahead in design, specification, safety, and fully comply with the latest British Standards.

Extraction systems are designed to meet all current safety and clean air regulations working to DW 154, and achieve excellent dilution and dispersion of emitted pollutants to protect the local population and environment.

Laboratory Furniture
We can supply and install laboratory furniture with associated services in a variety of different specifications. By being involved in the full laboratory package we can design optimum layouts and designs to suit individual specifications and requirements. Time and money can be saved by not having to liase with different contractors.

Commissioning
Fumetec offer a comprehensive commissioning service of for all their products, on completion of installation to
British Standards.

Annual Maintenance Contracts
Fumetec offer Annual Maintenance Contracts to ensure clients products are tested in accordance with British Standards. These contracts assist to remind the client when re-testing is due as Fumetec would make contact prior to the due test date to arrange the site visit.

This service is also available for equipment not originally supplied by Fumetec.
