Dipec offer specialist skills in the manufacture of acrylic and plastic products. Established in 1981, Dipec has established itself as one of the area’s leading suppliers of manufactured plastic and acrylic products.

Diamond Polishing is a machined polish finish and is the cheapest way to edge finish acrylic. Flame Polishing is a fast and cost effective way which ensures a good polished finish with a hand safe edge. Mop Polishing is used to give a very high standard, hand finished result to a finished product.

Bending, Welding & Cementing
Line Bending uses a hot wire heating element to achieve large or small radius bends where required such as a return on a leaflet dispenser. Welding - we have the facility to plastic weld Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polycarbonate and PVC. Cementing & Glueing there are various glues available for cementing plastic together such as Tensol 12 and Extrufix.

Drilling & thermoforming

Pillar Drills are used for drilling, tapping, counter sinking and counter boring various products. Thermoforming (Oven Moulding) We can heat various plastic up to a maximum temperature of 250 degrees. The heated panel is then drape moulded onto a former.

There are various glues available for cementing plastic part together. At Dipec we use:

• Dichloromethane
• ExtrufixTensol 12
• Tensol 70 Two Part Acrylic cement

A heavy duty, multi head CNC Router with tool change facilities is available which is capable of machining panels any size to a maximum of 3000mm x 1500mm. This is used for products such as Bomb Trolleys, Test Rigs, Supermarket Screens and many more projects
