Caledonian Industries Ltd are long established as a materials technology and manufacturing organisation. Located in Glasgow, adjacent to both the airport and motorway, we are well placed to supply the growth industries of electronics and telecommunications. 

Our experience and knowledge of precision foam and engineering-plastics has fuelled our growth as a key supplier of packaging products and components for mobile phones and base stations. Ongoing innovation and performance continues to keep us at the forefront in supplying seals and gaskets for the Oil & Gas, Telecommunications and Automotive Industries.

Materials processed include; Polyurethane and Polyethylene foam in standard, anti-static and fire retardant grades.

Utilising CNC machining techniques we manufacture components in a wide range of fluoropolymers and other high performance engineering plastics including;

•  PTFE
• PPS (Ryton®)
• PEEK™.

Caledonian have invested a significant sum in the development and installation of the new Dynamic Cast Moulding System (DCMS). A novel process allowing for little or no annealing in addition to shorter production cycles and cost efficient, Near-net-Shape production.

Technically, one of the most significant advantages with DCMS is the reduction in moulding stresses. Grades available include; Unfilled, Glass Filled, Carbon Fibre Filled and Low Friction (Bearing Grade).
