Our Acetal Rod is probably our best material for machining, giving an excellent finish both on manual and CNC machines. It has very low moisture absorption making it the preferred grade for food contact and where dimensional stability is critical. Acetal Rod has an ideal combination of high mechanical strength, hardness and toughness, giving it superb sliding properties, wear resistance and electrical insulation.

Our Delrin Rod is our other "best machining" material resulting in a superb finish and more suited to the mechanical applications than Acetal. It is slightly harder, has lower thermal expansion and potentially better wear rates than Acetal but Delrin is unsuitable for food contact applications.

Our Nylon 6 Sheet is a superb wear and abrasion resistant material and well suited to machining. It has high mechanical strength and good sliding properties. Nylon 6 Sheet is also stiff, has good creep stability and is resistant to many oils and chemicals. Our Black Nylon 6 Sheet has MOS2 which is a very effective graphite type self lubricant and our Blue Nylon 6 Sheet is heat stabilised to help reduce distortion caused by machining

Our Nylon 6.6 Sheet is a superb wear and abrasion resistant material and well suited to machining. It has high mechanical strength and good sliding properties. Nylon 6.6 Sheet is also stiff, has good creep stability and is resistant to many oils and chemicals. Our Black Nylon 6.6 Sheet has MOS2 which is a very effective graphite type self lubricant.

Our Oilon Sheet is a fantastic green nylon product which has been blended with a highly effective oil based lubricant. This dramatically increases sliding, abrasion and wear resistant benefits and takes nylon to the next level to give this product an incredible advantage in bearing life of up to 5 times over standard nylon. This makes Oilon Sheet exceptional for the most demanding applications where bearing longevity, high abrasion, lubrication or access is an issue.
 

Our HDPE Sheet or "High Density Polyethylene" Sheet offers excellent sliding properties and abrasion/wear resistance due to its low coefficient of friction. HDPE Sheet is very tough and impact resistant, even at low temperatures, it is lightweight, easy to weld but difficult to bond.
 

Our Polypropylene Sheet is a low weight material that offer significant resistance to impact and chemical or acid attack. It has low moisture absorption and is suitable for food applications. Polypropylene Sheet offers good electrical insulation, resists cracking but is difficult to bond.

PTFE Rod (trade name Teflon) is officially in the record books as having the lowest co-efficient of friction of any solid material and is extremely effective operating at extremely high and low temperatures. PTFE Rod has fantastic chemical resistance and superb electrical insulation properties. PTFE Rod can be tricky to bond, but it is non melting and is self extinguishing. Our virgin grade PTFE Rod is available in white only.

Our PEEK 450G Rod is our super high performance plastic that can withstand very high temperatures. PEEK Rod has excellent strength and stiffness, toughness and impact resistance. PEEK Rod has a V-0 fire rating and a tensile strength greater than most other plastics. PEEK Rod is suitable for food, aerospace, medical, pharmoceutical, oil, gas and other high performance industries.

Our grey PVC Rod is an economical and easy to machine material. It is exceptionally good at chemical resistance and an excellent fire rating. PVC Rod has high mechanical and tensile strength, is very easy to both bond and weld and also has excellent electrical insulation properties.

Our RG 1000 Sheet is actually UHMWPE and offers pretty much identical properties to the virgin grade UHMWPE including its excellent low coefficient of friction. Our RG 1000 Sheet is available in black or green and has the same superb wear/abrasion resistance but is much more cost efficient.
 

Our Genuine Tufnol Sheet is a very rigid product and have grades suitable for either mechanical, electrical and general purpose applications. Whale Tufnol (mechanical) is excelent for bearings, bushes, slideways and wear strips. Kite Tufnol (high electrical) is excelent for curcuit boards, covers and high electrical insulation. 1P/13 Tufnol (commercial) is great for jigs, fixtures and lower voltage electical insulation.Tufnol can also be known as Bakelite, SRBP, SRBF, Paxolin or Phenolic sheet.

Our UHMWPE Sheet or "Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene" sheet has an exceptionally low coefficient of friction which offers superb sliding properties and is one of the best for wear/abrasion resistance. UHMWPE Sheet is tough even at low temperatures, low weight, easy to weld but difficult to bond.
