Our DryLin® R-Variants of linear bearing are not only highly robust in extreme conditions, but they are compatible with standard ball bearings too. xiros® plastic ball bearings require no lubrication or maintenance. Conventional steel bearings rust and need to be greased, xiros® plastic bearings run dry without the need for additional lubrication. The use of igus hi-tech polymer materials allow xiros® plastic bearings to be used in almost every application.

The benefits of the xiros plastic ball bearing range is that the are; lubrication and maintenance-free, high corrosion resistance, are suitable for temperatures up to +150°C, do not corrode so are perfect for under water applications, they are non-magnetic and last but not least are lightweight.

When to use xiros® plastic bearings: When maintenance free ball bearings are required, to eliminate lubrication, for rotational speeds that exceed the limits of a plain bearing and when corrosion resistance is required, furthermore xiros plastic ball bearings are in accordance with FDA requirements, therefore are suitable for the food and chemical industries.
