Hard Anodising Ltd is a private family owned business employing just fewer than fifty people and we own our premises which are continually expanding.

Specialising in the hard anodising process we also have facility for conventional sulphuric acid anodising, chromic acid anodising, electroless nickel plating, electroless nickel coating and chromium/non-chrominium based conversion coatings on aluminium. We are very experienced in selective plating, coating and anodising, and have developed an armoury of masking techniques over the years.

Electroless nickel plating involves a stand alone chemical process without any electrical current involved. The benefit of electroless nickel plating is that it provides a uniform coating as long as there is a steady supply of plating solution.

The company has quality accreditation to ISO 9001-2000 and AS9100 and environmental management accreditation to ISO14001.

Electroless nickel coating is ideal for metal that may not be traditionally covered with other forms of coating. Where the metal comes into contact with the plating solution, as long as there is a steady supply, the metal will be covered.

Electroless nickel coating can be applied to most metals and with the appropriate pre-treatment to plastics they can be coated as well.

Hard Anodising provide a chromate coatings service as part of their hard anodising portfolio. Chromate coatings are produced by a chemical reaction with the metal to form a chromate film.
