Harland Simon UPS is a leading independent provider of Single and Three Phase AC and DC Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). We have a longstanding and well respected reputation for designing and manufacturing a comprehensive range of  UPS and Power Protection Solutions and  Products.

Harland Simon Power Solutions offers three levels of UPS Power Systems ranging from 300VA - 800kVA . 

  • Level 1 - standard COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) 
  • Level 2 - Rugged, this can involve a few simple modifications to a UPS to conform to stringent testing according to the end usage. 
  • Level 3 - Complex customisation, involving redesign and very often rebuild to the customer’s specific requirements.

As well as manufacturing our own range of UPS Power Systems we are an approved reseller of standard UPSs and an engineering partner of several of the world's largest UPS Manufacturers. We can supply CE Marked AC & DC products from the following UPS manufacturers:

Marine UPS

Harland Simon offers the Eaton range of Marine Certified AC UPS systems ranging from 1kVA up to 3kVA plus larger systems with redundancy.

The standard commercial UPS modules are modified in the Helsinki factory to meet more demanding marine requirements. 
Harland Simon also offers a comprehensive range of high reliability DC Power Solutions supplied in purpose built enclosures complete to the customer requirements and suitable for the proposed environment.

All Custom UPS Solutions can be Marine Approved to ABS, DNV, Lloyds, etc.   These products are designed and tested to meet the harsh environment requirements and are normally fitted with Anti Vibration Mounts and protected to IP22 minimum. Larger systems may also include special batteries fitted on Seismic Offshore Racks.

These products are being utilised all over the world on oil rigs, ferries and commercial shipping name but a few.

Harland Simon is fast gaining recognition within the Defence/Military Industry for providing Military UPS for durable use in the theatre of action and for the Navy, more recently the new Type 45.  We have supplied to BAe, Ultra, Raytheon, Rolls Royce and Steatite to name but a few.

We offer a range of fully flexible options of Rugged AC & DC Power Solutions which can be either built into transport cases suitable for rapid deployment in outdoor defence applications or built into 19” rack modules suitable for installation into customer’s racks for land and sea applications or our System Integrated, which can be built into custom housings designed for installation into customer’s equipment where space is at a premium.  Finally, our Free Standing systems are designed to be located within the customers' space constraints.  These Free Standing Systems include additional Environmental Protection including IP Rating, Vibration, Shock, etc.

Our range of Integrated Industrial UPS systems are built into Wall Mounted or Floor Standing IP54 Enclosures  which protect the UPS system from water ingress.  We have designers and engineers who can provide a CAD drawing for approval prior to the build.  Our large Custom built AC or DC systems are made up with UPS, Extended Runtime Batteries, Distribution, Transformer, Fans and Roof Cowls to prevent dust and water from entering the highly sensitive area within the enclosure.
Our Stainless Steel UPS enclosures are used for Pharmaceutical applications but are also ideal for Marine/Coastal Environments as Stainless Steel Cabinets won't rust in the Saline atmosphere.

Harland Simon supply fully assembled Free Standing Battery Cabinets  to accommodate Extended Runtime Batteries and Chargers for any system.  We always source from the best including Yuasa, Enersys and Alcad.  We also provide loose components for the customer to install into their own panel or fully assembled 19" Tray Systems for installation into the customer's own 19" enclosure.
