Service & Repair for all makes of high speed spindles
As a manufacturer of tools for high speed machining and a spindle manufacturer we take customer support and after sales service very seriously, and have therefore established a special purpose facility for the servicing and repair of all makes of high speed spindles. Together with our specialist trained service engineers we offer the complete breakdown service from diagnosing spindle problems, removal of the spindle, through to repair and reinstallation.

We offer a complete retrofit service from straightforward cartridge replacement, to redesign or complete upgrading of your existing machine tool into a true high-speed production machine. Therefore if you require higher spindle speeds or more power to use todays high-speed cutting tool technologies then why not upgrade you existing machine for a fraction of the price of replacing your machine tool.

High Speed Plug & Go Spindles
The Plug & Go high speed spindle gives you the ability to use the power of your existing machine for roughing and blocking out work, then to instantly convert your machine to a high speed machine tool by using the IBAG Plug & Go spindle.

With seven high speed spindles in this range we can offer speeds of up to 60,000rpm, and up to 23Kw peak power, and the HFK 95 spindle is suitable for use with automatic toolchangers.

The high speed spindle is just a small part of your machining application, and therefore we offer specialist knowledge in high speed machining and a complete range of specialised high speed tooling to suit all your manufacturing requirements, supplying tooling spanners - collet - shrinkfit - hydraulic holders, all tooling can be supplied with all standard machine tapers and sizes.

PA-2
Process Analyser 2

The easy to use, entry level monitoring system

The PA-2 is the entry-level machine condition monitoring system from argotech, which comes with an impressive range of standard functions. The PA-2 is ideal for those users who have a basic monitoring need, like identifying the cutting tool presence for example. Also for those who have a simple machining process or are converting over from fault prone mechanical machine protection and who want a simple to understand and operate electronic monitoring device. The user interface, screen set-up and menus, are identical to that of the larger systems like PA-4 and MPA 104 making upgrading at a later stage easy, as the system layout will be familiar to the operator.

Easy set-up and operation
The user interface has been kept simple intentionally, the system only having 5 operator keys. This makes it a very easy to learn, set-up and operate. The system quickly 'self learns' what constitutes sensory input of good quality production. It only takes a couple of production cycles. The short set-up times increase flexibility to change parts manufacture freely, and guarantees a high availability of monitoring.

Compact and flexible
The PA-2's compact design makes it easy to mount anywhere on the production machine. Its bright backlit display with manually adjustable brightness and contrast is very easy to read under all lighting conditions.

PA-4
Process Analyser 4

The powerful, all-round monitoring system PA-4 is an all-round monitoring system which can be used to safe guard a wide range of machining processes, from very simple to quite complex. It's this versatile application ability, combined with the PA-4's extensive feature set that makes this the monitoring system of choice for many customers. User-friendliness is built into the PA-4's software design of the menus and soft key operated dialogs, making the PA-4 fast to learn and universally compatible. The high contrast bright backlit display make analysis of the information displayed easy under all lighting conditions.

Versatility and power
Compact yet powerful, the PA-4's core task is the continuous monitoring of repeating machining processes. The robust metal case is designed especially for use in harsh production environments. The 4 sensor input capability is enough to manage even quite complex machining processes. Each individual signal can be monitored through envelop limits, box limits (max 3 per channel) and target limits. Trend analysis will help maximizing tool life. It allows prediction of the remaining cycles before the cutting tool needs to be sharpened or replaced. The zoom function allows for quality control of even the finest of machining treatments.

Communication and connectivity
The PA-4 comes standard equipped with 4 output relays, which can be tied to the machine's alarm lighting and/or can activate the emergency stop function. This allows the machine to cease production immediately when a problem is detected, reducing waste and ineffective production time. The standard serial connection is used to connect primarily for data download and analysis and software revision uploading. Optionally, the PA-4 can be equipped with an GSM pager function. This means that in the event of an alarm, a message can be forwarded directly to a mobile phone. By immediately informing the responsible personnel - job scheduling, maintenance or production management - quick action can be taken and downtimes can be reduced to a minimum.

The hardware structure allows the connection of all different sensor types offered by argotech (see separate sensor overview datasheet). The PA-4 can also be daisy chained via a CAN Bus, thus establishing a network of Multi Alarm Paging Systems which can monitor the entire production plant.

Detectable machine conditions
The PA-4 can be used to detect a number of conditions which can lead to poor quality production or unnecessary machine downtime.

  • Tool wear/fracture
  • Determination of forces in machine components
  • Press force monitoring Overload protection
  • Machine and tool loads
  • Closing power control
  • Collision protection
  • Product quality
  • Limit value monitoring (filling level, temperature...)
