The power take-off is suitable for inline and side load applications on all internal combustion engines with standard SAE flywheel housing dimensions. All units are supplied with sealed ball pilot bearings to eliminate lubrication problems normally encountered. Ball bearing throw-out collars are optional on 14" units and standard on 311 units.

Industrial Clutch Parts Ltd Supplies Water-Cooled Brakes For Oil Rig
When marine winch manufacturer Broehl Maschinenfabrik needed a fast delivery of water-cooled brakes and clutches for an anchor-handling winch project on an offshore oil and gas rig they called UK clutch and brake specialists Industrial Clutch Parts.
Tension control of the anchor cables is critical to rig stability in the swell of the ocean, with dependable brakes and clutches key to winch performance in a typically harsh environment.
After discussions with Broehl, Industrial Clutch Parts pledged to deliver a batch of 24in WPT Power water-cooled clutches (WCC) within a very small delivery window in the rig build programme.
Since the first batch of storage winches were located in the bottom structure of the rig, they needed to be installed at the start of the construction programme before the decks above were permanently welded closed.
Penalties for late delivery in this industry are severe and Broehl stressed the need for a guaranteed delivery schedule for the clutches, which Industrial Clutch Parts committed to.
Liaising with Broehl engineers, Industrial Clutch Parts configured the clutch design for optimum output torque and slipping performance to deliver the necessary tension control in the anchor winch cables during payout and retraction functions.
The anchor-handling winch is designed with a WPT Power 24in water-cooled clutch, to provide variable torque and high heat dissipation capacity in constant slipping applications. The clutch is fully protected against saltwater corrosion and is air tube actuated for sensitive torque control.
Broehl supplied the cooling water and control system to maximise the clutches’ efficiency.
In the second part of the contract, and also under penalty for late delivery, Industrial Clutch Parts supplied a batch of WPT Power 36in water-cooled brakes (WCB) for the anchor cable traction winches. The traction winches are fitted with WPT 36in Water Cooled Brakes that enable the operator to safely pay out a very heavy wire rope anchor cable, often hundreds of meters long, via a tug boat and brake control system. This ensures a secure handling of the rope between the winch and tugboat which otherwise, through any slackness, could run uncontrolled to the seabed.
Industrial Clutch Parts’ Mike Wallworth said, “Key to winning this contract was our ability to supply clutches and brakes that were designed, built and delivered within Broehl’s critical delivery window. In addition, we worked closely with our client installing in the clutches and brakes some new features developed from their experience in this very specialised industry.”
The Broehl order was delivered within four months of ordering, a solution that, according to Mike Wallworth, “is all about focus on quick delivery and efficient response to the application brief.”

PNEUMATIC DRUM CLUTCHES
Many applications for these clutch configurations from Marine, Cement Processing and Mining to Oil, Gas and Water-Well Drilling and general industries such as Metal Working, Pulp/Paper and Construction. All configurations are 100% interchangeable with all major clutch brands.
Two basic types of drum clutch construction. The integral Rim/Tube construction of the FK, FKE, FKT and FKR consists of an air tube vulcanised to the clutch rim, providing a coupling effect during the transmission of torque. This allows for some misalignment in the drive system.
Independent air tube construction of FKT type means that the air tube does not transmit any torque. Power is delivered through the rim and side plates by torque bars.

Monninghoff Couplings
Mönninghoff shaft couplings with flexible circular membranes or torsionally-flexible elastomer elements serve to compensate for misalignments in the drive train or for shock loads and critical oscillations.
In every case – including with alternating directions of rotation – the torque is transferred free of play. A number of connectors, clamp connections or clamping sets allow for easy and safe connection to components provided by the customer.

Working Principle and Behaviour of Gear Coupling
Torque is transmitted through gears, mating surface of gears where on the top of gear hub is crowned, mating surface of gears where on the bottom of gear ring is plain, so angular displacement via the fit of these two surfaces is possible.
• Radial displacement can be compensated via the clearance between gears
• Axial displacement can be compensated by the length difference between gears
• AGC-A&AGC-B with afforded torque from 0.4 kN.m to 4500 kN.m

Selection of Fluid Couplings:
In case of no special requirements required, the specification of the fluid couplings can be selected by motor rotation speed (e.g. the input speed of fluid couplings) and transmission powers in accordance with related values listed in the following table (Technical Data Sheet of Constant Filling Fluid Couplings (Oil as medium) for Type Selection), then find the exactly the proper parameters in the related detailed technical data sheet for different types (sizes).
Remarks: In case of using water as medium, the transmission power increases nearly 1.15 times as per oil as medium. So, when using water as medium, the value of nominal transmission power used for selection of coupling type shall be the actual value divided by 1.15.

Working Principle
All steel coupling is a flexible coupling, flexible component is package of steel films which is made of thin plate of stainless steel. Fit bolts were mounted in staggered on divided circle and also connect flange hubs and package of films. In this way, package of films is divided into two stressed position while forced, hitting position and pulling position. All steel coupling is to
transmit torque by rigidity of package of films and compensate axial, radial, angular misalignment by elastic deformation of package of films.

Working Principal
With the benefit of the special designed damping holes, which were arranged in proper layout, HY serial buffers provide a stable damping force during the whole buffering process. This will ensure the impact object will be slow¿down smoothly. The most part of the energy generated during the impacting process will be eliminated. Thus, almost no rebound force will occur on the impact object. This will surely avoid the heavy vibration on the buffer shaft.

When the inner ring is rotating in the working direction, the irregular blocks contact with the outer ring and inner ring gently.
