Machine Guarding
The Machine Guarding Safety Solutions we provide are:
- Concertina Covers - Concertina covers (or bellows) are the safest and most effective way to protect machine slideways and screws.
- Bellows - Circular concertina bellows are used to protect ball screws, cylinders, rods and shafts.
- Steel Telescopic Guards (manufactured and refurbished) - Our steel telescopic guards are fabricated to the highest precision in a range of steels to suit your requirement.
- Roller Blinds and Armoured Aprons - spring roller blinds can prevent the use of full concertina covers when space restrictions apply. To make them more protective sheet metal angles can be fitted on either side of the blind.
- Robot Covers - We have worked with most of the robotic system manufacturers to ensure we can provide the best possible protection.
Concertina Covers
We can produce concertina covers in almost any profile. As we cut every vee or gusset to the finished design, our covers retain their profile and integrity, no matter how harsh the environment.
To prevent damage to the covers from hot swarf or weld splatter we can fit stainless steel louvers . This construction method is perfect when a steel telescopic cover cannot be fitted due to a lack of clearance.
Bellows
Bellows are used to protect drive shafts, actuating screws and cylinder rods. Bellows can be also used to protect hydraulic or cylinder rods.
