We stock a great range of powerful neodymium adhesive magnets.  Combining these strong magnets with super strong 3M self-adhesive makes this type of magnet perfect for a wide range of magnet applications. The 3M adhesive found on the back of each magnetic has a peel away backing strip for easy application.  Each of our adhesive magnet sizes is available in either North Pole showing or South Pole showing. Both types have an adhesive back. If you need two magnets to attract each other you will need both a North pole and a South Pole magnet, otherwise they will repel each other. 

Adhesive magnets are great for attracting most steel surfaces. You can use either a North pole or a South Pole adhesive magnet to attract steal, they are both as equally strong.
 

Countersunk magnets are circular disc magnets with a central countersunk hole that allows the magnet to be fixed into place using an ordinary counter-sunk screw. We sell a wide range of counter-sunk magnets and a small selection of counter-sunk screws. Like our circular disc magnet range these magnets are sold with either a South Pole on the counters-sunk face or a North Pole on the counter-sunk face. To attract to countersunk magnets together you will need to select one magnet with a North pole and the other magnet with a South pole on the countersunk face.

Magnet Expert provides two different types of pot magnets, Neodymium Pot Magnets and Ferrite Pot magnets. Neodymium pot magnets are extremely strong and powerful pot magnets while Ferrite pot magnets offer a good level of hold at a very economical price. Pot Magnets consist of a magnet enclosed within a metal pot. This leaves one side of the magnet exposed and the other encased within the pot. The pot of the magnet is thick enough to absorb the magnet creating a partial magnetic circuit. When the pot magnet is attached to a steal surface, this creates a closed magnetic circuit. A closed circuit makes full use of all the magnetic power and creates an extremely strong holding force. We supply pot magnets with a tapped, countersunk hole or threaded stud for convenient mounting.

Pot magnets do not chip or crack with constant impacting onto a steel surface which is a large advantage when considering which magnets to buy.
 

Recovery & retrieval magnets are extremely strong magnets and are supplied ready for you to use. Our Recovery and retrieval magnet range uses extra heavy duty eyebolt magnets that can easily be attached to various types of rope or cable for lifting. Each magnet is enclosed within a chrome plated steel shell that helps to protect the magnet and prevent any chipping or cracking occurring.

Ferrofluid is an amazing magnetic liquid that responds to the influence of a magnetic field. This extremely popular and fascinating liquid is available from Magnet Expert in volumes of 20ml to 1000ml. Ferrofluid is a great and fun way to learn about magnets and magnetic liquid.

Once Ferrofluid is exposed to a magnetic field the previously runny liquidly suddenly starts to grow spikes. These spikes grow higher and higher as the magnet gets closer. High temperature magnets are used in a wide range of specialist magnet applications. Traditional N42 neodymium magnets and ferrite magnets have an average maximum operating temperature of 80 degrees Celsius. SH Grade Neodymium magnets can operate in temperatures of upto 150 degrees Celsius. Another popular alternative are Samarium cobalt magnets which can operate in temperatures of up to 300 degrees C.
