Condale Plastics, established since 1969 has achieved an enviable reputation for high quality, service and versatility in the field of thermoplastic extrusion. With a manufacturing base of 50,000 square feet, with 32 extrusion lines, a clean room area for medical extrusions and a fully equipped modern tool room, we are one of the largest trade extrusion companies in the UK.

We manufacture a wide range of custom plastic extrusions, plastic tube, PVC extrusions, polycarbonate and PETG extrusions. From rigid and flexible plastic profiles, to plastic sections, plastic tubing and plastic co-extrusions, our PETG and plastic extrusion products are utilised in building and construction, shop fitting, office furniture and partitioning, modular buildings and caravans, packaging, sports, toys, marine, lighting, medical and automotive industries. We can produce plastic tubes from 2mm to 160mm in diameter and plastic profiles up to 300mm wide. We offer an extensive range of standard plastic profiles, plastic section and plastic tubes manufactured to order.

Our plastic extrusions are in PVC (Flexible PVC), UPVC (Rigid PVC), PETG, ABS, ASA, Nylon, HIPS (Polystyrene), Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, Polyethylene and Acrylic. We produce plastic section, plastic profile and plastic tubing in virtually any thermoplastic material, including the facility of coextrusion. If you have a specific material requirement we will try to assist you. We hold a large range of rigid PVC colours in stock, offer a full colour matching service and can normally meet any colour requirements for custom plastic extrusions.

One of Condale Plastic's unique attributes is the ability to produce profiles in virtually any thermoplastic material, including the facility of co-extrusion.

We produce profiles up to 300mm wide and tubes up to 160mm in diameter with extensive facilities to carry out secondary operations. Contacting us during the design stage can often lead to cost savings by optimising your designs. We offer an extensive range of standard profiles and tubes manufactured to order.

Tooling

All Tooling is designed, wire eroded and engineered in house in a continuous rolling programme. Once the pin, die and calibrators have been manufactured, product samples are run under the watchful eye of our toolroom director or tooling manager. Any necessary modifications can thereby be quickly identified and made immediately. This ensures rapid development to an accurate, quality extrusion.

Quality Management

Condale's ISO 9001:2000 Approved quality management system ensures verifiable and sequential quality and continuity checks. These follow through from enquiry to final production, with customer approval at key stages in the proceedings. During production, colour, tolerances, fit, finish and special features are all closely monitored. Any quality issues arising are quickly and professionally addressed.

Initially established in the centre of Croydon in 1969 the company grew steadily leading to the acquisition of a second factory in East Grinstead where the company consolidated its extrusion operations in 1995.

We take considerable pride in the service that we offer and our skills and experience over 35 years have made us one of the largest general purpose plastic extruders in the UK.

Our manufacturing base has grown to approximately 50,000 square feet with 32 extrusion lines contained within three adjacent units, including a new medical clean room area in a separate facility for medical grade extrusions.

To maintain a high level of quality and service for our customers we have a continuous annual investment programme, updating and improving our facilities with the latest extrusion technology. Our state of the art tool room has recently been updated with the latest 3-axis CNC milling machines.

Types of Thermoplastic Extrusion

Rigid Plastic Profiles

We manufacture rigid plastic profiles for a huge variety of industries in many materials, to numerous specifications. Typically plastic profiles have a regular 1mm to 5mm wall, and include anything from a simple U channel to a complex section with several mating parts.

Flexible Plastic Profiles

Flexible plastic profiles come in various hardnesses. Plastic profile is manufactured in several materials and colours and may include irreglular wall thickness. Tooling for flexible plastic profiles is relatively inexpensive.

Co-extruded Plastic Profiles

Co-extruded plastic profiles combine two different materials or colours in a single plastic profile. The co-extrusion technique is often used in place of adding a gasket or seal to a rigid plastic profile as a secondary operation on assembly. Alternatively a stripe of a second colour can be introduced.

Rigid Plastic Tubes

From 2mm O/D to 160mm O/D we can manufacture any size plastic tubing with any wall. Plastic tube orders are usually manufactured and delivered in two weeks. Minimum runs are generally 2,000 mts, but may be less for heavy plastic tubes and more for smaller plastic tube diameters.

We can cut to length, manufacture in colours or clear plastic, and extrude in many materials, such as Rigid PVC, ABS, HIP, Polyprop, HDPE, Polycarb, PETG, Bayblend, Nylon and more. Tooling is available for the majority of plastic tubing sizes.

Flexible Plastic Tubes

From 2mm O/D to 150mm O/D we can manufacture any size plastic tube with any wall. Plastic tube orders can usually be made and delivered in two weeks. Minimum runs are generally 2,000 mts, but may be less for heavy plastic tubing and more for smaller plastic tube diameters.

We can cut to length or coil flexible plastic tubes, manufacture in colours or clear plastic, and extrude in several materials, such as Flexible PVCs including nitrile modified, TPRs or TPEs and Polyurethane. Tooling is available for the majority of plastic tubing sizes.
