Rodent proofing
This includes bristle strip brushes on the bottom of doors to stop rats and mice from entering. in London pest control proofing as part of an IPM (Integrated Pest Management) programme is extremely important in keeping rats and mice out. An EHO - Environmental Health Officer - will strongly recommend that pest control starts outside of the premises.

Pigeon netting, or bird netting, where netting is fixed to tensioned wires to stop the pigeons or birds entering an area such as light wells or voids. This is the only system with a guaranteed success rate and should always be considered before bird wire or pigeon spikes.

Pigeon sprung wires, or bird wire, is a system of a fine plastic coated sprung wire installed between small diameter stainless steel fixings to stop the birds from landing. This is the least obtrusive looking system and should always be considered before using bird spikes.

Pigeon spikes or bird spikes such as Avipoint or Pigeon Point are stuck onto ledges to prevent the birds from landing. Most people think they can install pigeon spikes themselves but often we are called out to redo work originally done by builders or decorators that is not effective as they do not understand the determination of the bird's need to roost.

History:
Beaver Pest Control London started trading in Streatham in the borough of Lambeth in South London as Beaver House Services in 1990 after one director, Graham, had worked for Rentokil for over 10 years. We moved to larger premises in Tooting, Wandsworth in 1993 and became incorporated as a limited bird and pest control company in 1999.  Graham's brother David joined him in 1992 and therefore the directors will have fifty years experience between them before very long in pest and bird control. The business is a family business and although we are now a medium size company we run it as if it is still a family business. We employ three members of staff who have been with us for over ten years and half of our staff members have been with us for over five years which can't be bad as we are doubling in size every four to five years.
