STRAIN With over 600 different strain gauges listed as standard, the TML range offers a gauge for almost every application. From general purpose to high temperature, low modulus to high yield, and for metal, concrete, plastics and many other materials, Techni Measure are there to help you choose the right gauge. We also stock a wide range of Adhesives, Coatings, Terminals and Cables. Many gauges are available with integral lead wires, and a range of weldable type strain gauges help ease application in poor environmental conditions.

DISPLACEMENT Potentiometric displacement transducers from SAKAE are available from 10mm to 1,000mm F.S. Used as a simple voltage divider, these sensors give a full scale voltage output of the same level as the DC supply. Conductive plastic tracks offer long life and we have many special configurations available. Strain gauge transducers are offered, especially for Civil Engineering displacement measurements. We also supply non-contact sensors and from Schreiber comes a range of half bridge type inductive sensors, with or without built in electronics. MicroStrain manufacture a range of tiny displacement sensors for very fine measurements and Capacitec offer a range of capacitive sensors for very accurate gap measurements.

VIBRATION Accelerometers for vibration measurements come in a multitude of shapes and sizes depending on the particular application. Dytran Instruments offer a range of transducers, mainly with IEPE electronics, for general purpose, shock, seismic, triaxial, industrial and many other applications. Special sensors for structural modal testing are supplied as well as DC sensors for static g measurements.

LOAD/FORCE Strain gauge load cells from TML, for weighing type applications, are available for tension and/or compression measurements from 1Kg F.S. to 1,000tf F.S. A wide range of general weighing type sensors, are also available from AEP and Scaime. From Dytran Instruments, comes the extensive range of rugged quartz piezo-electric transducers for dynamic applications involving impact or repetitive forces. These can be supplied with or without IEPE built in electronics. These sensors are also incorporated in the range of impact hammers used for force inputs during modal analysis.

PRESSURE Transmitters and switches from HUBA offer a large range for general purpose measurements from as low as 1 mbar F.S. up to 600 bar F.S. Vacuum ranges are also available, and there is a series of low cost sensors for OEM applications. From Dytran Instruments, comes the wide selection of dynamic piezo-electric sensors for any pressure application requiring a very fast rise time. These transducers are available with or without IEPE electronics.

ORIENTATION From MicroStrain, comes a range of orientation sensors both with wired connection to computer display software or as wireless sensors for remote operation

WIRELESS  MicroStrain produce a range of wireless systems for use direct with strain gauges, strain gauge sensors or for voltage output sensors. Thermocouples can also be monitored wirelessly, all using 2.4GHz bandwidth transmission systems over at least 50m.

POTENTIOMETERS Apart from the displacement sensors, SAKAE manufacture a very wide range of single and multi-turn rotary potentiometers utilising wirewound, conductive plastic, or hybrid technology. Supplying to customer drawings is a speciality, although there are many standard choices covering most applications. We supply potentiometer Joystick and Foot controllers as well as motorised systems.

PROXIMITY We have a range of proximity and photoelectric sensors offering very small solutions to intricate sensing problems. Most of the range are switching sensors only but some devices have a linear output enabling non-contact displacement measurements to be made.

INSTRUMENTATION We supply instrumentation for all the above, including conditioning equipment for strain gauges and strain transducers, from basic amplifier boards, through to sophisticated data logging devices. Constant current supplies for IEPE transducers or charge amplifiers for the piezo-electric sensors are available. Digital panel meters offering a simple form of measurement display, can also be supplied. Near target telemetry systems provide signal transmission from rotating machinery.
