In 2001 we were approached by one of our existing customers to produce a composite board for them to fix to their chilled display case.  So Poly-Tek, working in conjunction with its customer, designed and manufactured the Duo-Board; an immensely strong yet lightweight panel, adaptable for use within the refrigeration and storage industry.  With a fire resistant polystyrene core sandwiched between 6mm MDF as standard, the duo-board was an ideal solution for refrigerated panels, partitioning in factories, clean rooms and food preparation areas. The composite duo-boards design offered high thermal and acoustic properties and could be varied in thickness to suit the particular application that was required.

The faces of the composite duo-board can be finished in an array of high specification materials to suit the customer's own requirements, all of which come complete with protective strippable film.
 
Our composite duo-board range can be supplied in an "uncut" state if required but the majority of our customers enjoy the benefits of our "In House" CNC Routing service that we offer. Whether it is a reduction in overall size or a full CAD/CAM profile to machine.

• CNC Routing

Our sheet plastic fabrication service and our duo-board range would not be possible without our state of the art high speed CNC routers which are all independently supported with the latest versions of CAD/CAM software.

Once we have a CAD drawing on our system an order can be processed immediately. Our CNC routing systems can be used for numerous applications on a wide variety of surfaces such as plastics, woods, soft metals, composite materials and much more.

Our plastic injection moulding division has been established since day one and at present supplies large volumes of components to a vast array of industries. We offer a complete design to manufacture service, turning your ideas into innovative components using the latest design facilities; be it a full working drawing or prototype that may be required.

Our mould shop runs 24 hours a day with fully trained personnel on hand to carry out regular tool setting, colour or material changes and stringent quality control, so you can rest assured that your project can be done in a timely manner.

 

Poly-Tek are based in Kent and have, for the last decade, been offering Plastic Injection Moulding, Medical Pipe Extrusion, Sheet Plastic Fabrication, Full Diamond or Flame Edged Polishing, Composite Thermo Boards and a full CNC Routing service utilising the latest in CAD/CAM technology. This has been achieved by sustained profitable business and continued investment in plant and machinery. 2003 saw our first full vacuum bed CNC Router installation followed by a further two high speed CNC Routers in 2007.
