PNEUMATIC CONVEYING

PNEUMATIC CONVEYING
Specialising in lean phase pneumatic conveying. Offering expertise in three types of pneumatic conveying systems.
Pressure Conveying
Conventional lean phase positive pressure pneumatic conveying systems are proven for many materials and processes requiring long distance transfer and/or high throughputs. Operating at higher pressures than vacuum conveying systems results in higher relative throughputs.
Vacuum Conveying
Lean phase negative pressure pneumatic conveying systems are common for many materials and processes for relatively short transfer distances and low throughputs.
Closed Loop Conveying
A sealed circuit which recycles conditioned gas or air used for conveying the product. Often used for hygroscopic or hazardous products. Benefits include minimum loss of the conditioned gas, and better confinement of toxic products.
Advances in Pneumatic Conveying
Low velocity systems- Air Speed Control for friable products
‘Dune Phase’ conveying for friable products.
Abrasion resistance, wear management.
‘Filterless’ Closed Loop conveying systems
 

POWDER STORAGE AND DISCHARGE

STORAGE, DISCHARGE AND TRANSFER
We integrate storage into projects. All designed specifically to suit the product and process.
Bulk Storage
Silos – Stainless steel, Carbon Steel, Aluminium, GRP. Including all safety and functional features required for best practice filling, discharging and compliance.
FIBC Dischargers
Bespoke designed for bags, products, operability and safety.
Cyclones and filter receivers
Intermediate storage or transit of material to mechanical or gravity transfer. Including level or weight monitoring, safety, filtration and discharging.
Sack Rip and Tip
Ergonomically designed for wide varieties of sacks and duties. Integrated exhaust unit minimises operator exposure to dusts. Standard and bespoke designs available, can incorporate sack lifting and compactors.
 

POWDER FEEDING

PRECISION SOLIDS METERING AND FEEDING
Using feeding equipment controlled by our highly responsive self learning automation software
Weigh Feeding
Using screw or vibrating feeders integrated with loadcells. Batch weighing or throughput control. Weights as low as 50g +/- 0.01g. Cpk for batch process >1.5.
Volumetric Feeding
Using bespoke vibrating feeders and high accuracy distance sensing devices for continuous and batch processing. Active control and monitoring / trending capabilities.
 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Project capabilities from £1k to £1m. Ex-works skids, kit form, partnership or turnkey packages.
Large portfolio of materials handled; powders, granules, pellets, fibres, chips, flakes, beans…..All with a wide range of behavioural characteristics and properties.
Proven track record in chemical, food, water, mineral, rubber, plastics, paper and pharma / healthcare industries for more than 20 years.
Strong Safety Ethic covering design and site operations.
Sound understanding of ATEX and DSEAR.
In house automation and PLC programming capability.
3D Modelling (INVENTOR) and our own unique ‘PNUECON’ software yielding key information required in optimum sizing of pneumatic conveying systems.
Pneumatic conveying test rig available for most customer’s products.
Premises comprise modern offices and 800 sq ft assembly and storage workshop.
