Reid Lifting manufactures innovative, lightweight, portable lifting systems providing safe lifting equipment across a range of environments from corrosive waste water treatment to the world’s leading museums.

The PORTA-GANTRY™ range of lightweight, mobile aluminium gantries has capacity to WLL5000kg. These mobile gantry systems are easily assembled, within EC Manual Handling directives, with adjustable height and span. These aluminum gantries have an anodised finish and are suitable for use in clean environments. These mobile gantries have revolutionised the use of lifting equipment in the UK and Europe.

The PORTA-DAVIT™ is a lightweight, portable aluminium davit system with an operating radius of 800-1200mm and WLL 500kg as standard. The two-piece davit system, supplied in a heavy-duty carry bag weighing 25kg, has an internal bearing system giving finger-tip rotation under load and is corrosion resistant.

As well as goods lifting REID also develops solutions for man-riding applications with products compliant with EN795 Class B:1997.

Lightweight, portable manhole lifters, customised T-Davits, lifting beams and PORTA-QUAD™ frames are also available.

All products are CE marked and are fully compliant with current legal and regulatory requirements, including PUWER and Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and individually tested to 150% WLL.

Reid Lifting is certified to ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:1999 by LRQA (LRQ 4002463/A/B/C) and is also a full member of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA).

The company was honoured to receive The Queen's Award for Innovation in 2006 for its range of portable gantries.
