Ridley Electronics Ltd. design and manufacture environmental control equipment and communications equipment for anyone who would like to have remote control over their environment, particularly people with disabilities.

At Ridley Electronics, we specialise in the design and manufacture of communications equipment for environmental control. Predominantly our work is for people with disabilities, but can be used by anyone who wishes to have remote control over their environment.

Our door latch release system design enables the user to establish who is at the door by using a cordless phone. Not only are you alerted you have a visitor, but the door latch release system with hands-free phone equipment allows you to converse with your visitor.

Our door openers are designed to open and close doors usually using a hand-held transmitter. Door openers provide the user with an independent and security enhancing solution. We can provide hand-held transmitters or to meet other customer’s preferred requirements, long range swipe tag readers.

A curtain passive infrared detector (C-PIR) can be used for clients who either have a risk of falling or have a tendency to wandering off unattended. Flexibility is a key advantage of our curtain passive infrared detectors as they involve no physical contact. With a range of up to 60 metres, they can be easily repositioned or re-located.

Designed as a private instant communication device, our hands-free intercoms enable people a great deal of freedom to call for assistance. Our hands-free intercoms provide an excellent solution for monitoring purposes.

Working in conjunction with any cord-pulled rails, our curtain pullers are controlled using a RF transmitter or manual switch. Our curtain pullers have many beneficial features including:

• Curtains can be partially opened
• Time switch operation option
• Choice of transmitters
• Choice of radio frequency or manual switch control

Break beam detectors come into use when an obstacle may cause a location to be unsafe, or a corridor may need to be cleared before a door opens. Designed as a proximity detector, break beam detectors can also be used on the insides of gates for efficient opening on approach saving the effort and time of switches or manual controls.
