Process
Resin Bonded Surfacing is a thin layer of resin screeded over the existing concrete or tarmac substrate, the dried aggregate is broadcast on top, after a few hours excess stone is swept off.
 
Resin Bound Surfacing is a combination of dried aggregates and clear polyurethane binders mixed together before being trowled to a smooth anti slip finish.

Resin bound gravel driveways are increasingly popular as a specified surface with architects and homeowners because of there hardwearing nature,their natural appearence, the look of gravel without the loose stones and there quick and easy installation.

Resin bound aggregates or gravels -are encapsulated in a clear polyurethane binder, wet poured and trowlled to a smooth anti slip finish.

Resin bound surfacing or paving is the ideal solution for tired looking driveways, as it offers a hardwearing surface that requires virtually no maintenace. Occasional powerwashing can restore the original colour and texture. Resin bonded and bound paving can be installed directly over existing concrete or tarmac without the need for excavation, producing a quicker and less disruptive installation compared to block paving or patterned concrete.

Resin driveways look extremely decorative and are laid directly over existing concrete or tarmac which means they can be considerably cheaper and quicker to install than having your driveway excavated and re-instated. We ca also extend drive ways usng our fully permeable honeycomb underlay which replaces the need for a solid substrate

Decorative glass can be used as a resin bound surface or a design feature within a resin bound surface.

pictured is a project using blue 1-3mm decorative glass,mixed in a forced action mixer with a special glass resin and trowelled in a similar way to bound aggregates.It has a hard wearing nature,and does not discolour making it a ideal product to bring your design to life overlaid ontop of  tarmac or concrete.

Resin bound Tree Pits

Resin bound aggregates are a suitable pourous surface for installing around trees.

Their decorative and permeable nature allow  trees to grow  breathe  and feed more easily,without the problems associated with loose stones,they  prevent the build up of litter associated with traditional tree grilles,and allow mechanical cleaning machinery close to the trees..

The dried aggregates come in a wide range of natural colours from golden gravels to silver grey granites.

Fully bound rubberised mulch is a great alternative for school paly areas as it acts as a safety surfacing for children ,whilst still allowing the tree to grow

Self installation kits

Peak surfacing can also supply self installation or DIY kits to contractors,Builders Merchants or individuals in 12m2 Bonded aggregates kits or 4m2 Bound aggregate kits.

Kits comprise Resin, hardener,dried aggregate and insallation instructions.
