AKM Fabrications are specialists in the fabrications of STEEL, ALUMINIUM, and NONFERROUS metals as well as our plastic rubbish chute range. Our products are designed and developed by our in-house design and engineering team, and are tested to ensure safety and quality.

FOR ROOFTOP APPLICATIONS: we develop AKM Guard Rail, which is sturdy, yet freestanding, to avoid weakening the structure. Needless to say, setting the system up and altering it is a quick and easy job.

FOR TEMPORARY JOBS: we have the AKM Mobile Man Anchor. Available in two weights, the man anchor splits into manageable pieces for transporting, and saves time and money setting up alternative rails or nets.

AKM's plastic walkway system for composite roofs solves the problem and keeps workers safe. Our ultra non-slip plastic walk way system can be fitted to Composite metal roof systems to provide a safe path for your workers and avoid risking fall ralated injuries or fatalities on fragile roof systems. The walkways can also be used in combination with AKM Top-fix Guardrail to satisfy safety regulations.
 

When you’re in a location where it’s not viable to fit a guard rail, AKM’s Mobile Man Anchor provides an easy cost effective solution without compromising safety.

The system splits into pieces which allow it to be easily transported, and is fast and easy to assemble. The centre of the system weighs 20kg which is constructed from galvanised mild steel and is weighted down with a 20kg rubber and a 20kg steel weight Our Mobile Man Anchor has been tested to Standard.EN795.1997 by Satra Technology Centre on the following surfaces in both dry and wet conditions.

AKM Fabrications provide three sizes of rubbish chutes - 20", 22", and 30". Please click on one of the rubbish chutes below for further details

1. Damage Resistant - The superior grade of high-density polyethylene used in our rubbish chutes ensure maximum resistance to abrasion and will not crack even in extreme temperatures.
2. Lightweight - Unlike some rubbish chutes, which, being made from inferior material can weigh over 15Kg each, our sections weigh only 8Kg.
3. Stacks Easily - AKM Rubbish Chute sections are 1100mm high and taper from 500 to 400mm. This ensures flexibility and easy stacking - valuable space is saved.
4. Easily Erected - Either by hand or purpose designed winch systems our range of rubbish chutes are ready for use in minutes.
    

Adding a wicket door save you the hassle of opening and closing shutter doors, and avoids unessesary wear & tear. AKM’s wicket door is constructed from heavy duty steel, and features an easy to use clamp which grips your shutter in seconds. The whole assembly folds away when full access is required

Many factories & warehouses have front facing roller doors which are used as personnel entrances. Leaving a large entrance like this open can pose a large security threat throughout the day, as well as energy loss, and allowing dirt and contamination into the premesis. Continually opening and closing roller-shutters also causes wear and tear, and will lead to premature replacement and a hefty bill. The answer is an AKM wicket door.

Built in a heavy duty steel frame, the AKM wicket door is manufactured to fit either the left or right side of the entrance, and has galvanised roller-shutter latts in the centre section to match your shutter.

The wicket door is fixed to your existing door frame, and features two quick release clamps to lock onto your roller shutter. When required, the wicket door folds back to allow full access for vehicles. Secured with a cylinder lock and three keys, the AKM wicket door is the best way to create easy access to your premesis
 

AKM Airconditioning Stands are manufactured from 50mm x 50mm box section, withour unique modular system. This allows simple installation for one man on site, whether it is a two or eight unit frame within minutes.

KEY STANDARD:  width - 1200mm Adjustable / removable feet to allow adjustment to the correct height, and keep the system level on uneven surfaces Only a 17mm spanner/rachet is required to build The 1200mm span has a safe wide distribution load of 3.2KN and a point load of 1.6 KN
 

Our unique cable tray offers the support of any width of cable tray to suit your requirements. It’s also been designed to cater for small duct work and pipe work. Cable Tray support stands not only protect workers from trip hazards and maintain health and safety, but also provide a method to contain neat and clear cabling to reduce the time taken during maintainance work.

The feet are supplied in two sizes: Small – 350mm long, and Large – 490mm long. They are supplied complete with revelant 12mm threaded bar and support bar or unistrut to meet your requirements. All you have to do is place in position on the roof. AV mats are available. Feet are usually placed about 1 Metre apart to support the cable tray.
