FMP has been established on its current site in Lancaster since 1986.

FMP provides formulation services, packaging design solutions and cleanroom based contract packing for both ethical and OTC healthcare products.
The service is tailored to meet the needs of trading companies that outsource all or part of their manufacturing and packing activities. Equipped with three cleanrooms and a large sterile storage unit FMP has the capacity to handle most batch sizes for both make to order and stock supplied products.
 
FMP operates under ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems and has a MHRA Manufacturers Licence. The Company is also licensed to manufacture and pack in accordance with the Soil Association standards for organic Health & Beauty products. Licence No DJ19336.
 
The company also operates to the Environment Standard ISO14001:2004.
 
A comprehensive Business Continuity Plan is also available for inspection.

FMP provides a blending and contract packing service for alcohol based disinfectants (DE/IPA/WFI BLENDS) and biocides.

Components of the delivery systems are manufactured on site with packing being undertaken in a class 100 environment.
 
Generally working with 1000 litre batch quantities all materials are fully tested and filtered down to 0.2 micron prior to filling.
 
With a full range of operational protocols derived from satisfying some of the most demanding pharmaceutical companies FMP can offer total service supported by batch specific full microbiology data.
 
Packaging container volumes from 50mls to 2 litres are available for both sterile and non sterile liquids, using both standard and ‘bag in bottle’ trigger spray types.

FMP operate a ‘White Room’ printing facility with four purpose built printing & slitting machines capable of producing printed and plain webs up to 800 mm in width in up to four colours plus UV varnishing and reverse printing.

The printing operation includes full web scanning and total batch traceability. FMP stocks most medical packaging substrates including heat seal papers and filmic materials.

Samples of such materials are available on request together with full specification details and prototype samples where appropriate.

Cross reference data is also available allowing customers to explore lower cost alternatives for packaging solutions.

In most cases detailed information is available relating to aging properties of both sterile and non sterile materials for specific applications and in combination with other materials.
