Torque Sensor
In 2012, Sensor Technology launched their new TorqSense RWT410/420 series torque sensors which replace the RWT310/320 series. The new torque sensors feature new electronics that have proven significant performance gains in resolution, frequency response, reduced sensor current consumption and faster digital data throughput.
Transducer overload has also been increased to 300%.
TorqSense RWT410/420 series digital transducers with integral electronics are available in three different body sizes and with torque ranges up to 13,000Nm. The series offers a cost-effective, non-contact digital torque measurement solution using Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) technology.
Optical Torque Sensor
Sensor Technology's E200 ORT (Optical Rotary Torque) sensors provide an ideal means for precise dynamic measurement of rotary and static torque of less than 500Nm at high speed and high bandwidth. Optical torque measurement with an E200-ORT series transducer can measure torque ranges from 10mNm to 500Nm and can be used in conjunction with an E201 or E202 transducer display interface with the ability to show output data from the transducer, such as torque, speed or power.
The principle technology that the E200-ORT series uses is based on an extensively proven and developed measurement principle whereby two discs with segmented gratings are positioned on the shaft so that the opaque sectors on one disc partially obscure the clear sectors on the other.
Load Sensor
Sensor Technology also manufactures the LoadSense Wireless Load Sensor. The wireless Load Sensor is a strain gauge based tension type sensor. It is able to wirelessly transmit data to one of our compatible readouts and can also display or recording its data locally via Its inbuilt 32MBit memory chip, holding up to 149 hours of data which can then be downloaded to a PC via its USB cable. The Load Sensor transmits using the worldwide licence free frequency of 2.4Ghz on two built in antennas.
The Load Sensor can be operated in conjunction with the LoadSense Handheld Receiver which can read multiple devices at the same time and/or our standalone LoadSense Receiver Interface unit which outputs data via RS232 or RS422.
Torque Calibration & Service
Sensor Technology has its own in-house calibration and service facility capable of calibrating torque transducers up to 13,000Nm with weights calibrated against primary National Standards. It is also ISO 9001:2000 registered. It is recommended that equipment is returned on an annual basis for recalibration. Doing this also keeps the "Lifetime Warranty" intact.
Sensor Technology is also happy to service or repair any of its own equipment. Equipment will undergo an initial inspection after which customers are informed of the service or repair work needed and quoted.
Helicopter Load Sensor
The HeliNav LoadMaster is a wireless strain gauge based stainless steel tension type sensor, capable of wirelessly transmitting data to one of its compatible products such as the HeliNav LoadMaster HandHeld Receiver or Receiver Interface unit. Being wireless, the unit is very easy and simple to install and can transmit data up to a distance of 30 metres and at up to 10 times per second.
Our portable screen display - also compatible with the HeliNav LoadMaster series offers highly advanced features using our software for GPS track guidance and advanced load and firefighting capabilities.
