With customers constantly looking to single source all their rubber components Wye Valley decided that they most strive to keep one step ahead and offer the complete package.

Therefore they now stock BS standard "O" rings in various material specifications to meet the high customer demand. Not only can they supply standard size "O" rings, they also have the ability to supply all non-standard sizes."

It is unusual to find a rubber moulder who also mixes their own raw material but because total process control begins at the compounding stage a mixing facility is maintained. This ensures that all raw material consistently meets its specification.

Fully computerised weighing ensures that every formulation is precisely weighed to predetermined tolerances. All weights are recorded for statistical process control purposes and to ensure total traceability. Some twenty different polymers are currently used supplying the needs of a wide variety of industries and applications.

Components are hand finished by highly trained trimmers or cryogenically deflashed using the most modern of computer controlled machines. Trimming capacities are more than equal to manufacturing capacities ensuring no bottle necks.

A bank of post curing ovens ensure that optimum properties are obtained from technical polymers. Certain components are delicately and precisely pad printed with agreed details.

Sheet rubber of a variety of specifications and thicknesses is also converted to gaskets and washers of differing complexities. Some rubber grommets are also produced this way.
