Inshore Trailing Wire Surveys are a management method that checks and establishes a profile that details the potential level through a metallic piece of equipment such as a pipeline used in the oil and gas industry. The profile will include an assessment of cathodic protection and identify areas of interaction.
The Survey is carried out using a weighted silver chloride half-cell with a trailing wire spooling system - the trailing wire connects to the pipeline using an on land test post facility. Once the survey has been carried out our staff at R and R can advise and suggest protection solutions if there are found to be problems within the surveyed pipelines.
