The DARWIN is an active infrared barrier system, designed to be used where short range detection is required but aesthetics are critical. The beams are contained in extruded aluminium columns, finished in black or light grey, with a profile of only 23mm x 23mm, which makes them ideal where discrete security is required. The DARWIN is a modular system, providing 2, 4, 6, or 8, optically synchronised beams in fixed columns of 0.5m, 1.0m, 1.5m and 2.0m respectively, with an internal detection range of 12m.The alarm is generated when the beams are broken, with each alarm dependent on the timing of the blockage and the specific combination of beams.
