Indoor Air Quality in new build residential projects is a major concern to Consulting Engineers and Environmental Consultants working in Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs). With increasing pressure from planning department to comply with the EU Directive 2008/50/EC (the CAFE Directive) European Union Air Quality and Clean Air for Europe 2008, and to implement mitigation measures to improve the indoor air quality of new build projects, consultants have an urgent need to source a high quality and reliable solution that will reduce the levels of Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and NOX in indoor air.

The AAC Nitrosorb® Filter System is an independently tested, proven effective mitigation measure for the removal of Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and NOx from indoor air. Compact and lightweight, this low cost solution is available in both standard and bespoke designs, and offers the very low pressure drops which are compatible with Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery Units, (MVHR’s), typically 10Pa – 20Pa.

For indoor Air Filtration Systems in new build residential projects in Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs), where there is a requirement to control Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and NOx levels, we offer AAC Nitrosorb®. This independently tested, dry chemical scrubbing media product, has been specifically formulated to efficiently remove low concentrations of Nitrogen Dioxide and NOx at levels typically found in city centre locations.

The AAC Swiftpack® NITROSORB® Filter System is accepted by Local Authority Planning Departments as a proven mitigation measure for NO2.

For Centralised Air Handling Plant the AAC NITROSORB® Filter Cells can be installed by means of the AAC Swiftkit® and the AAC Skeleton Frame.

AAC Swiftpack® NITROSORB® Filter System is available in a variety of options and is suitable for vertical and horizontal air flows, and underside access scenarios. Due to its compact design, the AAC NITROSORB® Media Filter System can even be installed into a kitchen cupboard.

When used with the AAC Colourcell® Media Filter System, the end user is provided with an important visual indication of the condition of the installed Nitrosorb® media, and to when the media may require to be replaced.
