We provide EMC onsite testing for large or complex equipment which cannot easily be accommodated in a test house due to either space or time constraints. Testing operations are usually carried out in-situ on the manufacturer’s premises or at the point of installation. The test report is usually provided to annex a Technical File, which has been constructed solely for CE marking purposes.

Our testing methodologies and procedures for EMC onsite testing have been fully approved by many Certification Bodies including TUV Rheinland (UK and N. America).

Electromagnetic fields in the space around electrical and electronic equipment is required to be assessed for potential effect on the human body.  In the test laboratory, we apply EMF Compliance Testing procedures to household appliances and lighting products to ensure that emissions do not exceed safety limits regulated under the Low Voltage Directive.

We also have extensive knowledge and experience of EMF Compliance Testing in the workplace and can advise on safe working practices for industrial processes to minimise daily occupational exposure or the occasional risk to members of the public.  Our test engineers use portable isotropic probes to measure electric and magnetic fields and then compare the results against permissible exposure levels to determine the health risk.
