CMMs - Large
The largest stationary gantry- and bridge-type 3D coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) from Hexagon Metrology will give you gargantuan performance. It is not just the capacity of these giants of the world of coordinate measuring systems that leaves all others in the shade: they also impress with robust materials, a stable structure and high accuracy - on the production floor, in a production cell or in the measuring room. The CMMs can act as a standalone system or as a station in a production cell.
The strengths are particularly apparent when they are used for three-dimensional measurements for large components and assemblies in the aerospace industry, defense, ship building and in the power generation industry. If you want to measure a large item with high performance, you will be making the right choice with these coordinate measuring machines.
CMMs - Horizontal Arm
The advantages of the horizontal arm coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) from Hexagon Metrology are particularly apparent when inspecting sheet metal parts in the car industry, or other large-volume components in the aerospace, ship, defense, appliance, machinery and railway industries. Their open structure permits direct access to the workpiece and therefore significantly eases loading and unloading. Horizontal CMMs can also be integrated as a component of an automated production line such as automotive body-in-white.

CMMs - Shop Floor
Shop floor conditions may suggest that accurate measurement results on the factory floor would be impossible to obtain. However, using specialized shop floor hardened coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) from Hexagon Metrology, measurement accuracy is ensured even in the production environment. Ideal for lean manufacturing and cellular layouts, automated inspection is possible right at the point of production. Specialized software interfaces allow even unskilled operators to inspect parts with point-and-click ease.

Laser Tracker Systems
A long-term standard in industrial metrology: Laser Tracker Systems lead the field in terms of the accuracy, reliability and durability of portable coordinate measuring machines. A laser tracker from Hexagon Metrology is a portable measurement system that relies on a laser beam to accurately measure and inspect in a spherical volume of up to 160 m [525 ft].
Expansion or automation of the system with hand-guided scanners, wireless probes or robot applications open up an enormous number of possible applications. The effect: rapid and highly accurate measurements fed directly into production leading to cost savings and quality improvements.
Measure where no other CMM can go
The Leica Absolute Tracker AT401 is a portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM) that allows extreme precision over ultra large distances. It is powered by its own internal battery and is able to work in the most demanding environment, yet maintains the highest level of precision and the largest ever work envelope.
Changing laser trackers forever
The Leica Absolute Tracker AT901 from Leica Geosystems is a portable measurement system that relies on a laser beam to accurately measure and inspect in a spherical volume of up to 160 m [525 ft]. The Leica Absolute Tracker AT901 can gather 3D coordinates in 3 ways: by following a small mirrored sphere, also known as a reflector; by tracking a Leica T-Probe, a hand-held “walk-around” wireless contact probe; or by tracking a Leica T-Scan, a contactless high-speed laser scanner. Which measurement method you should use will depend on your application.
Laser Scanners
Laser scanners play a key role in quality assurance. 3D digital capture of shapes and surfaces using lasers is an effortless and precise process. The industry uses laser scanners primarily for the quality control of geometries and surface, but also for reverse engineering, fit and finish, and assembly applications.
A 3D scanner can be quickly and easily attached like a probe to a measuring arm or can work to the highest accuracy as a part of a Laser Tracker System or fixed coordinate measuring machine. Software generates 3D data in real time from the scanner-created point cloud and recognizes deviations from the CAD data immediately.
Non-contact scanners accurately capture millions of points within seconds. The resulting point cloud can then be used to create a CAD model to reproduce, redesign, inspect or archive the part.

Leica T-Scan TS50 is a high-speed hand scanner for large-volume portable applications. This third-generation Leica T-Scan is more accurate, provides a better performance on challenging material types and offers double the point acquisition rate compared to the previous generation.
Portable Measuring Arms
