We are a small, family-owned business that prides itself on offering a service that is both personal and bespoke. Our welder training programmes can be easily tailored to your specific requirements with fully qualified and experienced welding instructors as well as our own in-house, fully accredited and approved welding surveyor (Zurich Insurance)

Underwater Welder Training

We provide bespoke underwater welder training courses complete with certification. Our underwater welder training is the only externally awarded wet welding training programme to issue internationally recognised/verified qualifications anywhere in the world.

Welder Qualification Testing

Testing standards include;

  • BSEN 287-1 (Qualification test of welders – fusion welding of steels)
  • BSEN 1418:1998 (Approval testing of welding operators – fusion welding and resistance weld setters for automatic and fully mechanized welding of metallic materials)
  • BSEN ISO 9606-2: 2004 (Aluminiu m & aluminium alloys)
  • AWS D1.1M:2008 Structural welding code – steel
  • D3.6M-99 Specification for underwater welding
  • ASME 1X ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section IX: Welding and Brazing Qualifications

Chamfo Weld Prep Beveller

The Chamfo Weld Prep Beveller (GTW1500) from Speciality Welds is a unique design. It utilises a standard Bosch or Makita 5" angle grinder (230v or 110v) as a power source. The chamfo weld prep beveller is light, easy to use and high quality but affordable. The key features are:   

  • It is easy to control the depth of bevelling whilst bevelling.
  • Easy to replace the cutting tips.
  • Easy to adjust th bevelling angle.
  • Easy bevelling of pipes and curvatures (pipe rolling guides optional extra).
  • Available for use on steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals and some plastics.
  • Bevelling depth adjustments available in 0.1mm increments
