- The GDS 550 Trigger Survey System is designed to operate in conjunction with a portable flame ionization detector, collecting and monitoring a continuous representative sample of the atmosphere traversed by the survey vehicle. The system filters unwanted higher hydrocarbons from the sample and provides an audible and visual alarm to methane levels above a pre-set threshold. The GDS 550 is a one man survey system and designed to meet the changing demands and strategies of British Gas Transco and other gas network providers.
