VTI-SA3 (120V): A high-throughput, high-performance, research-grade vapor sorption analyzer capable of analyzing three simultaneous samples under identical conditions of temperature and relative humidity. Housed in an efficient, compact design (20" wide x 16.25" deep footprint), the VTI-SA3 features three sensitive symmetrical thermobalance (2 g capacity, 200 mg dynamic weight range) placed within a constant-temperature enclosure to eliminate thermal cycling. The isothermal (±0.1°C) chamber is made of a single aluminum block, and is heated and cooled by precision peltier elements. RTD probes are used to measure the chamber temperature from 5°C to 50°C, with resolution of 0.01°C and accuracy of 0.1°C. The relative humidity generator resides in a thermostated enclosure and provides a precise air stream of programmed relative humidity (2% to 98% RH) at flow rates up to 500 sccm. Both humidity and temperature controls are closed-loop systems for continuous control, employing a chilled-mirror Dew Point Analyzer for humidity measurement, with a temperature controlled sensor capable of measuring dew points as high as 95°C and as low as -40°C, with accuracy of 0.2°C, resolution better than 0.03°C, and repeatability within ±0.05°C. The VTI-SA3 is configured for organic solvent sorption experiments as well. Exhaust and vent lines are led from the instrument with connectors to the existing ventilation hood for optimal safety. The VTI-SA3 includes organic vapor alarm and nitrogen purge in the evaporator compartment for safety. An Accessory Kit is provided which includes calibration and tare weights, stirrups, hang down wire, forceps, etc.
