Dorchester based, Tritex NDT have launched a new multiple echo Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge for checking metal thickness underwater. The new Multigauge 3000 has been designed for simplicity of use and accuracy. It uses multiple echo to completely ignore coatings up to 6mm on subsea pipelines, bridges, piers, pilings, ship’s hulls and applications associated with the offshore industry.
It is extremely robust and durable to withstand the harsh environments that exist in the offshore and underwater industries worldwide. The Multigauge 3000 has a large bright LED display for poor visibility conditions and has been developed with Intelligent Probe Recognition (IPR) which automatically adjusts settings in the gauge to ensure a perfect probe / gauge match for enhanced performance. It also has Automatic Measurement Verification System (AMVS) and Coating plus+ to ignore thick coatings up to 20 mm thick all as standard.
The gauge is supplied as a complete kit in a Peli case with all the necessary accessories to use straight away. It comes with a three year warranty.
