Multigauge 5500 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge

The Multigauge 5500 uses multiple echo to completely ignore coatings and measure just the metal thickness. Tritex NDT have perfected this technique in their range of gauges which all have IPR (Intelligent Probe Recognition) to automatically adjusts settings in the gauge at the same time as transmitting recognition data - the result is a perfectly matched probe and gauge for enhanced performance. Also AMVS (Automatic Measurement Verification System) ensures only true measurements are displayed, even on the most heavily corroded metals. Tritex Triple Echo also significantly reduces preparation time as it eliminates the need to remove surface coatings, just the metal is measured.

The Multigauge 5500 is designed for hands free use when climbing on staging and scaffolding or when accessing by rope. Whether it’s onboard a ship, on large storage tanks, climbing on top of a road tanker or hanging underneath a bridge, the 5500 will make the job much easier. The gauge is supplied with an optional leather case for added protection.

All gauges are manufactured to comply British Standards BS EN 15317:2007, which covers the characterisation and verification of ultrasonic thickness measuring equipment.
