More Growth for Applegate

Applegate launch Stock-on-Line
Designed to introduce buyers to sellers Applegate have just launched Stock-on-Line - a section of the site that allows sellers to upload details of their live stock items, including price, quantity and photo's of the product. Companies have complete control over their stock items and can update them on a minute-by-minute basis. Click here for more information.
Applegate Raise £10,000 for Children in Need!
As part of our 2007 Children in Need fundraising, Applegate decided to donate a set percentage of our net sales figure from Thursday 15th November and Friday 16th November 2007 to their cause. We are delighted to announce that, with the help of new and existing Applegate customers we raised £6,622! However, we decided that this was a figure that needed to be rounded up so we are delighted to announce that a cheque for £10,000 has been sent to Children in Need! Thanks again to everyone who took out or renewed their advertising last Thursday and Friday.
Applegate offers its support to many charities throughout the year in a variety of different ways, all being equally highly prioritised as Children in Need. The Applegate team is always keen to organise and join in with fundraising events but this is the first time that we have involved our clients - thank you.
Statement from Children in Need
Our mission is to positively change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. Our vision is a society where each and every child and young person is supported to realise their potential.
In 2006 the BBC Children in Need Appeal raised over £33million and for every penny donated to the charity, a penny will go towards projects helping disadvantaged children in the UK. We are able to make this promise because the charity uses its investment income to cover all operational costs. Every year, thanks to public donations and the amazing efforts of fundraisers, schools, businesses and our corporate partners, we are able to provide support to thousands of youngsters aged 18 and under.
We provide this support in the form of grants to organisations working with children who may have experienced mental, physical or sensory disabilities; behavioural or psychological disorders; are living in poverty or situations of deprivation; or suffering through distress, abuse or neglect.
The size and scale of the BBC Children in Need Appeal means that we're able to give grants to hundreds of different organisations, some of which are very small and don't have the resources to fundraise for themselves.

Applegate continue to be the only B2B Internet Directory receiving regular ABCE audits thus ensuring that our statistics are verified. Our reported page impressions do not include automated search engines, spiders, people who work on the Applegate Directory, other computers, robots or any other unidentifiable sources. Applegate Shopping Cart
Applegate now offer you complete control of your online advertising. Building on the success of our log in facility, a service enabling companies to register a controller for their Applegate pages and edit the information online, we now offer a shopping cart. This allows controllers to choose their own advertising package and pay for it on a monthly basis.
Our enhanced pages, product sponsorships and hotlinks are all available online as are some of our special offers. Applegate Log In Facility
Applegate also have a log in facility giving companies complete control of their pages within the Directory. Register as the controller of your company pages and edit the details online. You can make changes to contact details, text and images, add new products and services, add new Who Sells Who and include the latest company news and press releases. Controllers can also view their company page statistics and order details.
The benefits of these controller screens are that companies have complete control over their company pages. They can make changes and updates to their information at any time without ever having to speak to a member of the sales team*. Not only is this more convenient but updates will be processed more quickly, many going live with immediate effect.
To check out your account profile simply find your business listing on Applegate Directory and follow the link 'Is This Your Company?' at the bottom of the page and register your details.
*An initial call from a member of the Applegate sales team is required as a security measure to validate the controller's credentials.
